Because of severe foot paint, my podiatrist instructed me to find shoes that would replicate the angle, height, and stiffness of the orthotics and eggcrate heel cup in my shoes, without having a back on them. After shopping for days, going to the most expensive shoe stores, I found these online, and they are everything I need. Not too high, but high enough to provide the same angle as an orthotic, a hard sole replicating the stiff shank of my other shoes, and a soft foot bed that even has eggcrate for my heel. The fit is both generous in the toe box and snug along the band holding the shoe on my foot, and I feel very sturdy and stable wearing them. And they look really nice -- not like prescription orthopedic shoes at all. I will buy more!
EDIT: It has been a few months. No longer snug & no longer leaves scuff marks. My go to sites this summer! I've made this 5 stars instead of 3...After reading the comments, I decided to order a half size up. I'm normally a 10 and I bought a 10 1/2. It's snug and mind you, I'm not a 10 and a half. I'm sure they will break-in so hopefully it's okay. But I'm very glad I did not order my normal size. That was a little disappointing but at least I ordered up a half size, so it's not the end of the world.Probably my biggest issue, and something I did not read in any of the negative reviews, is the fact that they leave scuff marks on flooring. I have hardwood, tile and sheet vinyl. The shoe heels leave black scuff marks on everything. It comes out with a fair bit of elbow grease required. I really don't know if I would have bought the shoes had I known they left such significant scuff marks on the floor. I'm hoping when I go outside and wear them at work some of the stuffing will be reduced. They are comfortable, but not worth the scuffing as of day two.
The shoes are adorable and super comfortable. They are little tight and I have a narrow foot just an FYI for anyone wondering. Theiy are leather so I know that they’ll stretch but they do seem to run slightly small. I wear a six to a 6 1/2, normally. I bought this in a 6 1/2 and I still feel like it’s on the smaller side.
I am an elementary school teacher whose classroom is outside the main building, in a portable. Therefore, I am walking at all times. On top of that, I have plantar fasciitis so my foot hurts terribly in most shoes. Not in these. These may be the single most comfortable shoes I've owned in my 17+ years of working. Well made, sturdy, attractive (for comfort shoes), true to size ( I ordered the 12N). I have a foot on the thinner side and really wear an 11 but ordered the 12 because I don't like heel hang. The narrow is perfect and the length is great. I wear with thick socks in winter and no socks in spring and either way they fit great. I would even suggest ordering a half size up if you plan on wearing with thick socks, just to give yourself extra toe room, with no heel overhang. The shoe gives great support, leaning more towards the firm than the cushiony side. I have worn every day for a year, and the shoe has yet to show signs of wear. Overall, great shoe.
This clog is extremely comfortable!! However not true to size. I typically wear a 5.5 but as of late, been wearing a size 6 (M US) due to having hallux rigidus and need more room. These 6's were too tight across the top of my foot. I returned them today and will reorder a 6 (W US) in wide! The lengthen was perfect. Just too snug. Overall, a great clog. And so cute too. (And I'm a fashion nut and who loves heels- but can't wear any longer due to dumb toes)
These are very comfortable. The sizing seems exactly right to me. Danskos are too wide for me, but I don't wear a narrow shoe. These are just-right for width. My shoes tend to be mostly solid black, including clogs, so I am being a bit adventurous with these and was not sure how much I would like the shimmer pattern over the long run, but they are great. They do attract more attention than my usual low-key shoes, but it's all good, nothing but compliments Very cute, wear-all-day shoes. The only downside I see to SoftWalk is that the padded insole tends to wear out; I am on my feet quite a bit. They are a well-priced brand, though, so that is not a big drawback.
these clogs were way too tight on my left foot across the dorsal arch. the right foot was fine. i tried to order a bigger size but all the sudden it wasn't available in the black lace i wanted. so i decided instead of returning them for my money back, i would try to cut them open. if you want a do-it-yourself project resulting in unprofessional looking clogs, then by all means, these are the shoes for you. they would have been perfect if they weren't poorly sized. ps. my left foot is not larger that my right foot. i measured because i like science and i needed to know this about myself. it might end up working out when i fix the shoe to my specification. but still, not a clean appearance anymore is it?
These are well make, nice looking and comfortable clogs. I purchased two pair. After wearing and trying to adapt them to my feet, I am remembering I had a pair years ago. I am having the same problem I had many years ago. I do not have flat feet but my instep is low. Net result, given the shoe's design, my foot slides too far forward in these clogs and my toes get squished. I have tried insoles and half socks to boost my foot higher so to avoid the slipping but to no avail. I liked these clogs but I would only recommend them to people with high insteps. Now I might donate one pair and keep a pair for shoes I can slip on quickly but when I do not intend to do much walking.
