Wanted a comfortable, orthotic flip flop in dark brown. This totally met everything I wanted and needed. I had a foot and ankle injury and was told by an orthopedic surgeon that I would not be able to wear flip flops anymore because they would not support my foot as it needs . I live in flip flops during the warm months so I was very unhappy to hear this. This flip flop provides support and I have absolutely no pain while wearing them. They are a little expensive for flip flops but the comfort I have makes it worth it.

I know of no other flip flop with metatarsal support (the front part of your foot). I started on Spenco at the advice of a chiropractor, and later, independent of the chiro, a structural therapist also recommended Spenco. I live in my flip-flops, even in winter, so really good ones are super important to me. These aren't nearly as expensive as most others touting foot support, which really only support the arch, never mind metatarsal. I try to avoid getting them wet, but sometimes have wade through puddles, and they're fine. I have them in may colors, and they last for years.
I love these! I usually wear a 12 narrow shoe, a size that is very hard to find so I took a chance on these in size 11 because they’re flip-flops after all. (These don’t come in size 12.) Even though they are regular width they fit so well, and I don’t feel like I’ll walk right out of them like I did with a size 12 medium that I tried in another style. They have good arch support and are cute. They don’t look big and clunky.
I am in love with the Spenco brand. I have high arches and have been wearing Vionic sandals and inserts for my sneakers for years. About 6 months ago, I started to develop terrible pain on the lateral side of one foot. I tried everything, none of my shoes were comfortable. They all caused me pain. I tried the Spenco sandals because I needed a new "around the house" shoe. After wearing these a short time, I noticed my foot pain was gone. When I returned to the Vionic shoes, the pain returned immediately. I ordered 2 more pairs of Spenco and their original insert for my sneakers. They are really comfortable, supportive and fit as expected. Best of all, I am pain free! I even wore them to the pool one day (yeah, I live in Fla. we swim in February. Dont hate me) and got them a little wet. I was surprised by how fast they dried. My one and only complaint is that they have the Spenco name branded into the heal bed of the shoe and it makes me feel like I've got dirt or a crumb in my shoe. I'll get over it.
It is true to size. It fits almost too perfect. A fraction off and I couldn't wear a size 6. They actually have some 6 1/2 on another site and they were too big. I love the navy color and it has support without the knot under the arch. And I have a high instep. It's stylish and so comfortable. First year wearing Yumi 2 and I have bought 3 pairs so far. I wear them in the house, running errands, walking.
