These boots seem VERY well made. I have had ZERO issues with wet or cold feet. Very comfortable, rugged and keep my feet dry in heavy rain or deep puddles. Definitely recommend.
For a guy who has broken both ankles it is hard to find any shoe that works. I'm indebted to Teva. Yes a bit tight mid-foot, but just pull out the laces & loosen. Stylish! Extra room in toe area is so nice. The base is very comfortable. Paid $25 less than anywhere else online.
Used this as a daily work shoe for about a year and for short hikes off and on. It's a great fitting shoe and is bit wider than most shoes. Waterproofing was great initially, crossing streams and during a couple of storms. The suede in the left and right side of the toe base area started to crease and discolor over time. A year and a half from original purchase, this area leaked water while walking in the rain.
I bought these as to replace my Timberland Hikers. They are waterproof so as such your feet don’t breath so be sure to zap the interior with anti-fungal spray. They fabric is very durable however the Vibram treads wear out quick with some cracking. The ankle support is more like a flex wrap so really no support here at all. I rolled my ankle a couple weeks ago in these “hikers” so needless to say, the support I need wasn’t there. I’ve used them on relatively mild 4 mile daily hikes, flat, hilly, loose rock…good footing but with the flexible fabric the boots loosen up quickly and you are continually retying to get some support. Teva makes great sandals but this hiking boot is more like a glorified sneaker. I do not recommend this boot for hiking. Great for cool evenings by a campfire and running errands but nothing long term.
On my third set of these shoes and each has lasted around 3+ years of normal wear and use. Interesting I keep buying the same shoe and they update the looks to keep with current trends.
So I bought these strictly for work. I am a lawn and landscaper for 22 years. I have been through 22 years of boots. So far so good I must say. I cannot stand to have wet feet. After a month of use my feet are dry and I couldn’t ask for better comfort. I like having a little wiggle room for my toes which these provide. Saying that these are true to size in my opinion. They have great traction as well as the Vibram sole which is a bonus! These are rather pricey but if they last me for a season..then they were well worth it. I have tried Keen, Merrill and a few others boots and those are a 2 pair a season boot. So at $100 for those others.. I’d much rather spend the extra $65-$70 for a very decent boot which I believe these are. I’m sure they would be a very good hiking boot as well. I will probably use them for that this summer. I shall leave another review here in about three months to see how well these have held up. 🤞
Used for trail and broken rock climbs, the foot gear fits as it should. I use a medium Smart Wool sock and bought one size larger than my measured foot.
I purchased these 10 months ago. Trying to be fair, I waited to do a written review on the whole enchilada until I gave the product a fair chance final , I think 10 months is a fair run for the money- here is the update. If these don't feel great out of the box, they DON'T-WON'T improve. There is a synthetic portion that runs across the top of the shoe, just at the base of the laces and across the top of the foot, which will not break-in unless you use a heat gun and a shoe stretcher, period. The material used at the base of the laces (see attached pic) is not leather, its synthetic and it thus it just doesn't break in, won't conform to your foot nor will give any at all. I have no issue with paying the price of these shoes if the quality is there, it wasn't in this Teva Design. Unless you have a very narrow, slim, skinny foot I cannot recommend. With a price tag of just under 175.00, RUN Forest, Run! These are NOT worth the price.Man, I miss my Teva Riva eVents these are more expensive but NOT even close to the quality of any other Teva product I have purchased in the last 20 yrs.
