Let me begin by saying that I hardly EVER write reviews, but because I Read just about EVERY ONE EVER WRITTEN about these Womans Tirra Tevas in an attempt to decide whether they would be a "good fit" for me, I really wanted to share my POSITIVE FEEDBACK about these sandals!I'm in my mid 30's, but have severe nerve damage to my left foot. I had to have my baby toe amputated in '07, so every summer since, I ABSOLUTELY DREAD trying to find sandals that I can actually walk comfortably in, but that still look Cute on! In years past, I have literally spent THOUSANDS of dollars for sandals that were supposed to be "top of the line," but NONE of them came close to the COMFORT, SUPPORT, and FEMININITY of the Tirra Teva sandal!!The 2 adjustable straps at the footbed, and the 3rd at the top of the foot, provides a truly custom fit. When I was reading reviews prior to my purchase, some said the sandal was to wide, while others said they were too narrow. Let me clarify that by saying that my Mother and I wear the same shoe size, however I have a really wide foot, and my Mother has a very narrow foot, and these Tevas fit both of us like a glove!! All it took was a couple of quick strap adjustments!Others have also complained about the ankle strap "rubbing," but they obviously bought the wrong size because my left foot is so HYPERSENSITIVE that the littlest irritant can send me through the roof, but these sandals DON'T, regardless of how long I wear them!! These are actually the 1st pair of sandals I've owned that have straps that DON'T HURT MY FEET AT ALL!!I'm also extremely impressed with the arch and heel support, as it hits in exactly the right place on both my good AND bad foot, providing long lasting comfort and stability for not only my feet, but also my back.If you're on the fence about purchasing these Tevas, much like I was, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND taking a leap of faith and at least trying them! They are SO VERSATILE, can be dressed up or down, run true to size ( I usually wear a 9 1/2 wide or 10M, and bought the size 10's which fit perfectly) AND they look super cute on! Teva has come a long way since the days of the "earthy crunchy" manly looking sandals!!It's taken me 6 years and A LOT of wasted money before I FINALLY found the PERFECT summer sandal. In my opinion, they are worth every single cent, and then some! Whether you're super active or have foot problems, I guarantee that once you strap these sandals on, you'll NEVER want to wear another pair again!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK, TEVA!! I absolutely love them! They fit snug, so true to size. They’re very comfortable. I have worn Teva sandals for a long time, and this was my first time trying the wedge. Definitely recommend!
I just got the sandals today in black/gray. They look fine on my feet, however there's an issue with the ankle strap. It hits in an area that is bothersome. And, when I loosen it too much the back is loose and cannot be tightened. Also, the strap is so short, there's a lot of Velcro showing when it's looser. Other than that, the front of the show feels okay on my toes. And, the soles feel good. I'm just not certain if I'm going to keep it because of that darn ankle strap. :( I had also purchased this same model in leather and it feels even worse. Will send that back for sure. And at the same time I bought the Teva Neota, also in leather. It doesn't provide enough support to my feel, unfortunately. I have issues with my feet and toes so it's very difficult to find a shoe or sandal that will feel good on my feet, especially when walking all day. Currently, I've been wearing an old pair of men's Nike ACG sandals which they don't make anymore. They cost half of what the Tevas do and have served me well without any problems. But, they're wearing out. I also just spent a pretty penny on a pair of ECCO Yucatan sandals and they're very comfortable, although they do tend to exacerbate the hammer toe on my left foot. I plan to keep them because I think if I decide to have foot surgery, they'll be just fine afterward. I never would have imagined spending this much money on sandals, but I'm finding out that comfortable shoes make all the difference in the world and well worth the money spent. But, the problem is FINDING a shoe that feels good on the entire foot and not just parts of it. :/UPDATE 3/9/13: I decided to give these sandals a try. First I added a piece of moleskin to the ankle strap where they rub against my foot. BUT, I still have to wear the straps extremely loose so I won't feel them against my ankle. Fortunately, they support my feet sufficiently so they aren't sloppy while walking. There's about 2 inches of Velcro exposed on each side which I'm not thrilled with, but since they feel comfortable on my feet otherwise, I've decide just to deal with the strap issue. Hopefully, Teva will correct this flaw in future sandals. In the meantime, I'm going to order another pair in Chocolate Chip color.
From town to beach to fancy restaurant, this little sandal does it all. It’s comfortable out of the box, perfect for beach days and looks elegant enough to wear for dress up. It’s also incredibly light and perfect for travel when everything you bring needs to multi-task. Love it.
I’ve gotten these same tevas a few times over the years. They last about 2 summers before the sole gets worn down. They’re comfortable right out of the box and I’ve never gotten blisters from them (and I’m prone to getting blisters).They’re easy to wear everyday but have enough style with the small wedge lift and cris-cross straps to be dressy too. I can wear them all day like regular flip flops but get the little “heel height” without sacrificing my feet.At this price, I’ll keep getting them as they wear down! So worth it!
This slipper while light is extremely narrow at the front. I was super disappointed as this is a brand I have bought before and have always been satisfied with fit, comfort and durability.
The soles are a bit mushy. If you don't have good balance or tend to pronate, your ankles could be at risk.
