Yeah I like these. They're not the typical Tims but they're cool. Fit well, comfortable, look good.
Timberland boots run large. This is my third pair of Timberland boots. I normally wear size 8.5 but size 8 in this boot fits me perfectly. And I mean perfectly, like they were custom made for my feet. These boots are beautiful. I love the color. The leather is good quality, consistent grain all over, and very soft right out of the box.I just got these boots so I haven't tried them on the trail yet. I'm hoping they will hold up like the Timberland original 6" hikers I had before (the classic wheat-colored ones), which lasted me 20 years. Those boots had 4 sets of stiches at all the seams, whereas these have only 2. I'm hoping these will also be as waterproof as the originals, but they might not be, being only double-stitched. Timberland advertises them as being waterproof, and they are stamped "waterproof" on the heel by the logo. I'll find out soon, going backpacking next weekend!
I recommend sizing up about a half size, as they do run smaller (we went in person to try on shoes and then I ordered a couple of weeks later). According to my fiancé, the insoles are very comfortable. He’s been wearing them for almost a week straight and he said these have been the easiest boots he’s ever broken in. Great color and came in the original box/packaging. Very pleased overall!
I gave these boots a 4, but they may be between 3-4. Anyway, it's about the 3rd time I've worn them and the fit is good (size 11). The comfort level is moderate, however, they rub on the outer ankle, just below the bone and it gave me quite a blister. Put a Band-Aid on it and am wearing them again and will give the benefit of the doubt for the moment until they get broken in. We'll see...Ok, so this is about a week or so later...they've broken in quite nice. But, I did put CVS brand cushioned inserts in them and I believe that helped. Going to assume they'll get more comfortable and broken in the more I wear them.
These redwood falls in rust color look even better than the classic timberlands in my opinion. They go good with any style and can handle outdoor work and look stylish.Im normally a size 12, but ordered these in 11.5 because so many people are saying get a half size down. They fit great in 11.5
Update: December 30,2023Boots are starting to become disappointing. Toe cap is now clearly visible as leather has settled after a couple of month use. Functionally still great but they look cheap now, almost wonder if the boots are counterfeit. I’ve had timberlands for 20 plus years never seen this happen. I’d style is per of your reason for purchase avoid these.Great colour very comfortable let’s see how they hold up. Only had a few weeks all good so far. Feel better on feet with a thick sock, soles hard on your feet with thinner socks.
I've owned these for about 2 months now and have worn them at least 3-4 days a week and they have shown only good things so far. My last pair of timberland boots lasted over 2 years and I wore them so much that the rubber sole wore all the way through. I like these boots because I can wear them to the barn and use them in construction applications, give the outside a hose, and wear them out to dinner the same day. These seem like they will last a while. The only thing with these that can be a slight pain is the sole pattern. It tends to pick up and wedge small gravel pieces under the shoe. I often find myself picking small pieces out from the sole, this was not a problem with my last pair. Otherwise, they are great so far and I highly recommend them.
