Timberland Women's Chocorua Trail Boot,Brown,8 M

I was hesitant to buy these boots, thinking the cost was more of a “brand” thing. I couldn’t have been more wrong.They fit me perfectly, are beyond comfortable, and they definitely keep my feet dry trudging through snow and sleet.Yes, they are worth every cent and I know I will love them for many years to come!

I wanted a waterproof boot that can hold up to hikes through wet areas and brush. Definitely lives up to its waterproof claim, but was surprisingly lighter and less restrictive feeling than most boots of this kind. Well balanced and didn’t feel clunky on my feet when I walked. Also, did not run narrow like some of the other boots I tried.

I replaced an identical 15 year old pair with 2 pairs of these hiking boots. They fit me so perfectly that I could sleep in these. Great support for previously sprained ankle as if the hiking boots are an ankle wrap. My 15 year old pair is still waterproof fully up to the ankle and still can be used for hiking. Great hiking/walking shoe with outstanding support. Sturdy non-slip grip for all types of hiking terrain - winter ice, lava rock, mud, up/down slopes, and water soaked surfaces. Good support for a stand up all day work job. Durable - Stood the test of time. Waterproof up to the top of the boot. True to size. Year round hiking shoe for all temperatures with waterproof for snow/rain hiking. Comfortable with any types of socks. I am a lifetime hiker with a spare hiking boot in my car "just in case" I want to walk/hike or change to my favorite supportive hiking boot.

I have been hiking about 2 miles a day for 4 years. In that time I’ve worn through two pairs of Timberland LoDge boots (sole came loose at the toe) and a pair of Remonte snow boots. Decided I’d give these a try based on excellent reviews. I am very glad I did. Right out of the box they are more comfortable than my other timberlands - nice wide toe box and enough room for a thick sock. I generally alternate between two pairs of shoes on my daily hikes, but I’m going to hesitate to wear any other hiking boot. I mean seriously comfortable!

These fit but just barely. I'd have to wear really thin socks which defeats the purpose of a winter boot. I usually wear a 8.5 but boots sometimes require a half size up. The quality seems ok, but nothing outstanding. The support seemed ok but again, not outstanding. Of course I didn't wear them outside so I can't really comment on the wear and tear of them. I def need a half size up from these. I'm returning.

I owned a pair of these boots once before and found them to be the best hiking boots I've ever worn, so after trying another less expensive option, I came back to the Timberland Cochura's and am so glad I did. I actually do hike 4-6 day/s week on step, rocky county - full of prickly pear cactus, loose rock (scree) and large areas of rocky shelf- and I go out in all weather (including snow storms), so I put many hard miles on hiking boots. I find these to fit perfectly, with just the right contours to keep my heel in the boot and not rub; the arch support is perfect for me, and the insole provides great shock absorption while also being a firm foundation. So far mine are waterproof, but full disclosure: whenever ANY leather boot product is listed as waterproof, I read "water resistant" and give the boots a couple coats of silicone water proofer. The quality, craftsmanship and durability with these is excellent, and they arrive perfectly laced and ready to go on my feet and out the door. I wore the first pair I had for two years before I had to finally replaced them (again, 2 hard years). think these are a great value for the money, and I'm not sure a much more expensive boot would be an improvement.

This is my 4th pair of Timberland Chocoruas in the past 20 or so years. I wear them for year round outdoor work. They are comfortable, provide support for my ankles, and keep my feet warm and dry.So happy they still make them, and it doesn’t appear that they have changed a bit.

Please see the picture attached of this boot in a size 8 beside my Muckboot brand in a size 7, it’s a good inch shorter than the other brand’s size 7 when it’s supposedly a whole size larger. I should’ve sized up one and a half sizes at least maybe two sizes. I always wear a size 7-7.5 but I had a few people tell me this brand runs crazy small so I got an 8. My toe is squished up against the edge of the boot and it is so narrow along the sides my foot feels like it’s folding up on the sides instead of sitting on the sole. The second I opened it I thought they sent me a size 6, and the person beside me said “those will be WAY too small for you,” I checked the tag and it says 8 which is absurd. There is also ZERO arch support and no room in the shoe for my arch to even flatten with a step so it painfully pushes my toes against the edge when I take a step. Normally I would fix that with an arch support insert but again, it’s so tight I can feel my heartbeat in my foot with it on and no additional insole so there’s no way I could put in an insole and get my foot inside the boot. Seems like a good quality shoe other than being absolutely mislabeled on sizes. The cloth part looks green and not tan like it looks in the Amazon pics but it’s actually prettier in person. I’m extremely bummed it runs SOOO much smaller than stated size. I got them for a hiking trip and won’t have time to return them for a bigger size before the trip. I really feel like for for almost 120 bucks they should have accurate sizes.
