With over 60 different sizes to choose from in most shoes, Trotter's promises you the largest selection of sizes and widths for even the hardest to fit foot. I've searched for 2 yrs. for a black patent pump with a low 2-3 inch stable heel that both looked elegant & were comfortable to wear all day. My feet are slightly wider than a B width. Finally, after shopping @ stores in person, & ordering online, only to have to return, even online orders, due to poor quality, not having the correct width and discomfort after an hour of wear, I ordered a half size smaller & in a W width and voila; I have finally found the perfect fit & great look, especially the heel, I'd been searching for in these Trotters Penelope brand pumps on Amazon @ nearly half the cost vs. several well known online department stores. Thank u so much Amazon for carrying this special brand that finally ended my search with definite satisfaction! Will def. b using Amazon to search for most anything I need/want In the future due to greater supply + much better costs!
I unfortunately waited too long to return these, but they were definitely too big for me. I even tried heel pads to keep my heels from slipping (I have narrow heels, so sometimes that's all I need), but no dice.I wound up buying a second pair in 5.5M, which have their own issues. The leather is very stiff across the top of my foot, so they're are not the most comfortable pumps I've ever owned... Hopefully they break in after a few wears and stop digging in so badly there. My heels also slip out when I'm wearing nylons, even with the smaller size (but since they're a smaller size, I'm not sure if my normal heel grips will fit without pushing my foot forward too much and crunching my toes). We'll see I guess...The shoes do look sharp, just maybe not the style for me.
This shoe is very comfortable and true to size, but the top of the shoe is cut too low and cuts into my wife's bunion on her right foot. We returned them and bought another Trotters Pump that has a higher cut.The Blush color is not a true pink as it appears in the picture. It is more like a Ballet Pink. Much like the pink color of Capezio ballet slippers. For those who are not familiar with that, I'd say that the Trotter's Blush shoe is peachy pink in color.
I wear a size 9.5 medium, and ordered the same, and felt like a size 8. Too small. I reordered a 10 and fit fine. They're good looking shoes with a perfect heel height, but hurt my feet after wearing for a couple of hours. Hope they get softer with wear because they're beautiful shoes. I ordered the burgundy, and love the color.
The show was pretty and of good quality but although they were of medium width, much too narrow, almost as if the shoe were a narrow width.
Love this model. After buying the first pair to try, got two more in different colors. Very comfortable (it is a renewed fit from Trotters, the older one was more squarish and less comfortable), and looks unbeatably elegant. The shoe is so comfortably made that I do no feel the heel at all wearing them all day at work - usually I am very sensitive to wearing even the 2 inch heel. Out ot the current colors I especially like blush (very lovely color, it is a bit pinkier than nude) and patent black. I only wish they would make them also in red (leather and patent leather).
These are the most uncomfortable pair of shoes I've ever worn from Trotters. Although they are supposed to be narrow they are big especially in the heel.
The shoe seems comfortable but I have some wiggle room in the heel and the color is more tan than the picture represents. I am deciding whether to keep them or not.
