I like the large toe box and the stability on court play
This shoe is OK, but probably the worst shoe I've used for pickleball. It's not as good as the several Adidas, Mizuno, or Babolat shoes I've also used.I applaud Tyrol's efforts to make the shoe cooler with the extra ventilation in the bottom. It's a cool idea. I can't really say how useful it is in practice, but it does require special inserts that come with the shoe to function, and those are already falling apart even though the rest of the shoe is fine. The Tyrol Pickleball shoe is the narrowest shoe I've worn for Pickleball. It's not super uncomfortable, but noticeably less comfy than the others. The Vibram sole is holding up extremely well, but the flipside is that these shoes slip on the court way more than any of the other shoes I've worn. I think in terms of durability and grip, my Adidas are the clear winners. The Mizuno and Babolat both grip well but wear quickly. The shoelaces on this shoe are bizarrely long. The end has been mashed to mush from being stepped on. I have to lace them specially and then do extra double knots to get the laces short enough so that I don't step on them. The good thing is durability of the sole and the outside of the shoe. Apart from the insoles which are not lasting, the rest of the shoe looks practically brand new still after 30+ days of use.Overall, this shoe is OK, but not worth the premium that they charge. Watch for sales on other court shoes.
These are the beset Pickleball shoes I have ever wore. I thought I was going to have to get hip surgery. I started wearing these shoes and I have had absolutely no problems with my hips. I know wear them even when I am not playing pickleball
I like the wider width of these shoe. Most comfortable and supportive court shoes I’ve ever bought.
One of the laces was defective. I couldn't get a replacement set of laces. The system forced me to request a replacement paid of shoes, which never arrived. The process for contacting the seller through Amazon's assistant is frustrating and makes it impossible to get any resolution.
The shoes are a great and accurate fit with good stability on court. I wore ASICS and yonex shoes before this. After a couple of weeks of moderate play at 3.5 level on outdoor dedicated pickleball courts, the insoles were falling apart. Kudos to customer service who sent me replacements, but those too started coming apart after a couple of more weeks.I'm disappointed with the durability of the outsoles. After a couple of months of 5-6 hours weekly play, there are already bald spots. I expected these "premium" shoes to last longer, but they are no better than other brand shoes which are much cheaper.
Excellent shoes. Well made and high quality
My 2nd time trying Tyrol. First pair was bought mostly out of curiosity as I had never heard of the brand previously. Although I liked the wider than normal toe box, the shoes felt a little heavy and the tread life wasn't too great. At $130 these shoes aren't cheap and I wasn't sure if I'd be willing to spend that much again for shoes that didn't last more than 6-7 months, playing just a couple times a week. This new model still feels just a bit heavy to me, and still $130, but the overall quality of the shoe is better, the tread pattern slightly different and so far after a month playing 4-5 times a week, still no noticeable signs of wear. Only complaints are the lack of styles and colors, and the price. Otherwise, good shoe. Aloha.
