I wear size 8 1/2 or 9 in footwear- normally 9 in a hiking boot to allow enough toe room. I ordered 8 1/2 due to reviews read- these shoes fit like size 9 in 2 pairs of Merrells I have. Maybe even a little bigger, lots of toe room. I have problem feet and when I tried these on after a long day on my feet they felt wonderful! They have some arch support but the insoles are fairly thin compared to some- so far I like them , they seem very well constructed -I’ve only worn them in the house so far so may update my review after a month or two.
So comfortable, a lot of people talking about the tongue’s width being too short. I found that when I loosened up the bottom laces a bit and laced the a bit more snug at the top it is not an issue. Highly recommend!
3 weeks ago I had a hip replacement and want shoes that have a great grip, a sturdy balance, and arch support. I purchased the sandles this summer before a cruise for support and non-slip and they were fantastic. I hoped the sneakers would be same and they are great! I ordered the same size as sandles and worried they might be too snug with socks but they are great fit!
Broke them in on a truly muddy and long hike, my feet stayed dry and clean the entire time. The color isn’t like pictured, a little more like a moss color and tan. I don’t need a wide toe so I have extra room at the end but I imagine anyone who is seeking a wider toe would be happy with these. Other than all that, they are very comfy and seem to be durable! Love keen.
Update - my 2nd pair was not defective. The tongue did slightly hurt my ankle until I wore them several times. Now they're not as stiff and are my go to outdoor shoes. Updated my 3 star review to 5. So the sole feels great on these. They have a roomy toe box and seem a bit wide. The right shoe had a defect so I'm returning and reordering. The tongue has a super hard seam that pushes into the top of my foot. You can see it actually leaves a gap when laced up. The left shoe felt great though. Hoping the 2nd pair has no issues.
Love these shoes. But sizing no longer fits my size 11 unfortunately.Luckily, still have 2 older pairs!
I wore out my merrels and decided to try keens I love them., they feel great on my feet being that I'm on them all day on many different ground material. My feet don't hurt at the end of the day
Our favorite stomping ground is Big Bend. It will poke you, bite you or poison you so you have to take care. I am a barefoot and flip flop wearing fool but have been trying to find a good pair of proper footwear that I could wear and not feel uncomfortable in. I have a tailor bunion on my left and a bone spur on the top of my right so shoe pressure seems to always have me kicking shoes off.Now to the point - we hiked 12 miles through a thorn infested desert and rocky terrain the first day I wore these shoes. The grip is amazing, they are roomy, I felt zero discomfort, not a single cactus thorn penetrates. And one the mountain hiking, usually my toes hurt when we descend but these held my feet securely and comfortably. Seriously impressed and hands down the best pair I have owned. I ended up hiking 35 miles this trip in these new shoes and I have zero complaints about it.That being said, I took my Bozzly hiking for his birthday today. And Ugh. The dew just seeped right thru and by the time I got back to the house I felt like my socks were sponges and had wrinkled toes. Yuck. Nothing worse than hiking with wet feet.To be fair, they do not claim to be waterproof and I am not marking them for it but feel it is worth noting.
