Shoe runs small. I’m a 11, but needed a 12. Easy exchange made me happy. Normal ware and tear in warehouse environment and they have held up well. Mesh has torn some, but that is to be expected with how rough I am on them. Tread has held up really well. Fit is comfy for a steel toe. Does rub side of my big toe some, but I haven’t found a steel toe that doesn’t. Comfy padding. I’m on feet all day and these support me decently. Really glad I had steel toes when pallets land on my feet!
They are far heavier than they look.Comfort and quality seem to be standard with Carhartt. Super cool in my opinion.Got mine thru open box for $60.They are holding up to the work load so far.I am a truck driver
Was looking for a low rise boot for work. This is definitely a well made boot, the only problem is the weight. These are VERY heavy. After an hour of wearing them, you feel as though you've completed a workout. Otherwise, they are comfortable, well fitting and generally a good boot.
I bought a wide width pair of Skechers to compare with this wide width pair of Carhartt black slip resistant work shoes I bought. The Carhartt shoes win hands down. No contest. The Carhartt shoes are more comfortable and are better for long distance walking, despite the extra weight in the toes from the steel toes. The Skechers made my heel hurt while walking and don't fit as well. The black Skechers slip resistant standard width shoes I bought last year had a one piece sole, like the Carhartt work shoes I bought this year with the new pair of Skechers. The plastic label on the top of the standard width shoes is white instead of yellow, and the shoes are comfortable. I've hiked many times in the standard width Skechers and washed the shoes in a wash machine and the shoes are still in good condition. The new wide Skechers have a multi piece sole, which is similar to the last pair of white Skechers I bought. The soles on those white Skechers fell apart as soon as I started walking on them. I won't buy another white pair of white Skechers or another pair of wide width black work Skechers. 2/3 of the Skechers I've bought in the last 2 years have been junk. Skechers used to make shoes I liked.
I'm on my feet in a garage for about 10 hours/day and these are a good shoe for it. I stomped through the first few weeks in my old work boots and these are far superior for the indoor working environment. The steel toes provide excellent protection, the outsoles are thick and tough, and the general design is without extra flaps of material to get caught on things so I'm never hung up on anything in that way. I wouldn't run through an oil spill, but the traction is pretty good otherwise. The slight heel is nice and gives them that boot like feeling without the heavy over coverage and extra weight if your environment doesn't demand that kind of ankle support.
Bought in April used em for 5 months the boot is already separating
Love the look and get alot of compliments, but don't last lone in a real construction environment.
I’m a big guy and they are really comfortable. This is my second pair. My first pair lasted a year. The durability of the shoe was great but the cushion eventually wore out. I would definitely buy for a third time.
