Love the style and they are comfortable and look great. Steel toe and waterproofing is excellent (I find being lace only, without a side zip helps with water not getting into boots). Would definitely buy again. Sizing is true to size, slightly longer but needed for toe room.
I needed to upgrade my work boots since I knew my existing ones weren't waterproof and was looking for a boot I could actually walk around comfortably with all day. I wore this out to the field and it was amazing. I was trudging through wetlands, mud, and water as far deep as my ankles and my socks stayed completely dry. It was durable and comfortable. I was wary about the steel toe part but I forgot that I even had a steel toe. I am a 7/7.5 and rounded up a size which was the right call. Honestly, this boot has won my respect and is completely functional. My male counterparte even commented about my new boots.
Recently got a job at the airport and wanted to treat myself to some NICE steel toed boots (as they were required). I couldn’t find ANYTHING in-store unfortunately, just people asking me why a woman would need steel-toed boots (come on, people it’s the 21st century). So I took a massive leap of faith and bought these mostly because they looked good, but also because of the 5-Star ratings. DID NOT DISSAPOINT. They are snug little clouds. It feels like my feet have been looking for a home their entire lives, and just now found it. Also, I’ve never bought $120 shoes before, so that could contribute. I’m a size 8.5 in US womens, bought a size 8, fits PERFECTLY. Buy these. You’re welcome.
I work at a wholesale nursery and I have tried a lot of boots. These are by far the best I have ever bought. They are warm during the winter, they are waterproof, they were comfortable right from the start and I didn't have to "work them in," and they have stood up to all the beating they get from working outside all day long in all types of weather and terrain. These are the only boots I will buy from here on out.
These are some great boots, waterproof and have stood up to the test! My only complaint is that they wore quickly, I've had them about a month but they look like they've seen over a years worth of work. Still very functional and comfy, would recommend a pair!
Purchased these boots for heavy outdoor work on very steep hills, weedeating, chainsawing, gathering wood, etc. I normally wear a size 9, but have had trouble on steep hills with my toes getting mashed into the front of my boot, even when I wore my correct size. I ordered these boots in a 9.5, and I think I may have found my solution.I was worried my feet would slop around in the larger size. They don't. There is extra room in the toe, but the design of the upper holds my ankle firmly and my heel is well cradled. The boot did not let my poor toes get mashed even a little walking down steep slopes. I wore a moderately thick sock for padding.I wore the boots for the first time expecting to need to go change them after spending some "break-in" time in them, but I literally forgot I had them on and ended up wearing them all day. The traction is good, no more sliding to near death experiences every few minutes. I like that the laces start relatively high on the upper, making for less exposure to getting full of burrs and stickers.I would agree with some other reviewers that they are warm for hot climes like mine, but I'll take a little sweat over mashed toes and unsure footing any day. I also noticed some others saying the arch support is just okay, but my average feet love these little tanks.Good luck out there!
Read all the reviews, every site said best steel toed boots for women. So i ordered them, fit great when i tried them on and looked great... i normally wear a size 8.5 was told to order a half size up, Ordered 9. The first day wearing them out to a clients site, they started to rub my ankles and just hurt anytime i walked. I did everything, adjusted the laces etc and nothing worked. 4 hours later back at the office i couldnt take it any longer and them off and went barefoot the rest of the day. Ended up returning them
I was really hoping this work boot would work out, but it didn't. My feet are a size 6 and I ordered a size 6 boot. It was a great fit, so I wore them at work. Initially, everything seemed fine. I work in a greenhouse environment and can attest that these boots will keep your feet dry, but they'll sweat inside the shoe. The waterproofing works. The slip resistance works too.I also agree with the other reviews that the original insole has poor arch support. Adding your own orthotics is the best choice, if you have high arches.Unfortunately, these boots started to cause my feet pain. One grommet on the left boot kept hitting my ankle bone. I added padding to my ankle to help it out. Then the bottom of my heels started to hurt. When I get home from work I take off my boots. My feet would feel better, but as the muscles cooled down my heels became stiff. I was having problems walking on them, even on carpet. I tried 2 different orthotics in the boots that normally work with my feet, but it didn't solve the problem. I am now on week 4 of trying to break in these shoes. The newest development is my ankles. The muscles in the ankles are starting to twitch. I wish I had known how bad this was going to be and been able to return these boots. What a waste of money. Now I have to spend just as much on different work boots. :(
