I ordered two pairs of Clark shoes. One is Clarks Men's Bensley Lace Oxford, and the other is Clarks Men's Bensley Run Oxford. Both of them look very nice, but the Bensley Run Oxford ones run little tight. Therefore, I kept the Bensley Lace Oxford one, and returned the Bensley Run one.
I bought these for my high school junior for homecoming. I was worried they would be tight since he is EXACTLY an 11.5 but they fit perfectly. He was even able to wear normal/thicker socks with them. He said they were comfortable and still felt good after being on his feet and dancing for a few hours.
Shoe was smaller on width. Had to returned it. In a positive note, it is a very well designed and beautiful shoe....and the price was great. I will reorder the same shoe but wider.
Bought these shoes for my son. He will graduate this year from college. Already has a full time job in hotel management. A five star hotel, & his position requires that he wears a suit, or dress pants & nice shirt. These shoes are very comfortable, which is important as he is on his feet every day. Plus they look great. I highly recommend these shoes.
While I'm not positive, because I only have one pair of them, I think the size issues might be a style/design "problem." I bought a pair of 10.5's, like always, and the are proportionally accurate in fit of my foot. The one difference is that they are long in the front, I believe this is a designer choice by the maker but I can't guarantee that obviously. It has been my experience that shoes that are too large are too large in all directions, these shoes fit exactly as I would expect them to fit my foot, there's no extra work for them to not fall off. I'm willing to be wrong, maybe others experiences have been different, maybe QC is horrible, maybe a lot of things ultimately. If I'm correct, the toe area is much longer than the average shoe so you should be aware of that. If that's a problem for you then I would pass on these, for sure.
Update to remove one star-I set these aside for a while. After wearing them, I see what another reviewer warned about. The shoes fit except that they are very long in the front. The length is probably a full size up but the design is so narrow in front that my toes probably wouldn't fit if they were the correct length. This "extension" makes walking and moving my feet around in general very awkward. Not a good deal after all even at the price I gave and past the return window.My initial impression is that these are good shoes. The width was too narrow until I wore them around the house to loosen them up. Now they seem fine though still stiff. I got a great deal from the "Amazon Warehouse". One star deduction for the need of significant break-in.
The shoes came exactly as described. I work for a River Cruise company, therefore I’m always on my feet. The shoes are comfy!
Comfortable and look great all for a reasonable price. What more can you ask for?
