Gave this pair a shot based on all the positive reviews, and was actually surprised by how comfortable they are and the overall build quality from a first impression. Will update the review a few months down the road, but so far these look and feel like a great pair of dress shoes.
*SCROLL TO BOTTOM FOR PROS & CONS*A couple years ago i moved from working out in the field taking photos and gathering writing material, to working in an office and had to ditch my hiking boots for oxfords... a terrible proposition for me seeing as hiking boots are so comfortable & supportive. Clarks have changed my mind though! I gave it 4 stars because i expected the leather to be closer to that of other work oxfords i've owned. The leather is supple, lined inside with leather as well, though im not sure the grain of the leather. I'll try sealing and polishing it, because water does soak into it so i'm a little worried about the longevity. These are very nicely made and comfortable for the money! I thought that dress shoes normally have leather soles as I wanted them for dancing at my daughters wedding. They are rubber soles and so they are very comfy but not suited for the purpose they were purchased for.
Never wore a classic dress shoe for work that felt so comfortable straight out of the box. Well built, as you would expect from Clark’s. So much so that I will buy another pair to have extra. At this price it’s well worth it.Fully recommend. And 5* to Amazon delivery too for dropping it off by 7,30am too. You just can’t beat these guys...
Best shoe design and leather. This is my second pair. First one was bought 7 years ago. Fits like a glove again.
Would like to have more arch support and a bit better quality.
