Clarks, a name synonymous with comfort and quality, began in 1825 with two brothers, Cyrus and James Clark. Their story started with a simple idea: crafting slippers from sheepskin offcuts. This dedication to resourcefulness and innovation has been at the heart of Clarks for nearly 200 years.
Clarks prioritizes both comfort and timeless design. They are pioneers in foot-shaped technology, ensuring a perfect fit and all-day support. Their classic styles have transcended generations, while their commitment to innovation keeps them at the forefront of modern footwear trends.
I bought my first pair of Clarks' Wave shoes shortly after they first came out. They are extremely comfortable walking shoes. Even though my feet are short and wide, I wear a medium width in their slip-on shoes. I am not sure whether or not they are discontinuing the line in the men's shoes but I found them more difficult to find lately. I was happy to find these on Amazon and ordered them in a size 7 M. They fit perfectly. The removable inner-sole is thicker than the ones I have had in the past and very cushiony. I wear orthotics and was able to fit them in there nicely. Some comments I saw on the site addressed how awkward the sole felt for them, feeling like they were rocking and off-balanced. The soles are nice and thick and actually feel more like my original pair did. I found that I got used to the feeling very quickly and had no problem with it. The design of the soles actually takes the pressure off the bottom of my feet when walking. I put them to the test shortly after they arrived and wore them on a 5-mile walk. They felt great!
Nice fitting, beautiful design. Love the shoe
I had the older model of this shoe. I wore them every day for work, and they lasted me 4-5 years before they started to look a bit faded and tattered. The soles of this shoe were so cushy and shock absorbing that it really helped me avoid knee and ankle pain. They were the best shoes I have ever owned. When it came time to purchase another pair, I discovered that Clark no longer makes that model shoe. Figures. These shoes were the closest thing I could find to that shoe albeit not as cushy, but still very close in look and material. Sadly, these new shoes are nothing like the older version. The shoe has a weird heel causing the front of the shoe to slam down flat footed making a clap or slap sound with each step. The older model didn't have the black soul glued to it like the new ones, so they were very quiet, but unfortunately the soles on these shoes are loud when you walk. Embarrassing! Though I purchased the wide size, the shoe still seems a little tight for my liking. Overall, they just felt weird and uncomfortable.
Clark shoes are consistent as to quality and fit. Wish they didn’t have to discontinue the older model that was excellent. I had purchase three pair of the older style of WaveWalkers when they first came out and wore them as long as possible. Unfortunately, Clark changed style slightly discontinued the original and made the newer style less dressy. In my opinion, not nearly as good.
Third pair of this brand and type
They fit great and made my feet feel great. We were in Oregon in the November of 2021 and I was warring flip flops and being on vacation I needed real shoes. We visited a shoe store and I bought my first pair. I have been warring them ever since. Great shows and I think they helped my planter fasciitis.
Nice style shoe but seemed to run shorter and narrower than what I expected. The worst thing in my opinion is the rocker heel. Walking seems extremely “clunky” and would definitely take some effort to adapt to. I returned and looked for mother shoe.
Very comfortable. Soft on the inside. Has a good grip on whatever surface you normally walk on. Really good.
