Real leather! My 66 year old feet complete with a couple pairs of slightly webbed toes are not those of a model and never have been. (Only PT Barnum might think otherwise.)I hate shoe shopping but Amazon makes it easy with reviews and easy returns. I finally found the perfect shoes for my quirky feet! A high toe box for my up-turned big toes, extra width for the toes and a taylor's bunion, nice padding and arch for my sometimes achy feet, and comfortable heel height. Clark's are my new favs after years of putting up with shallow toe boxes, poor sole support and shoes rubbing my feet the wrong way, causing callouses and tired feet! I now have happy feet! Amazon, please keep stocking Clark's shoes and boots!
You can always count on Clark's to make a great shoe. They look good, the color is nice and the fit is perfect. I can wear socks under them and that's necessary for these cold brrrrr Midwest winters. The leather is already soft. The support is excellent, like a custom made shoe.
These Clark Carleigh Ray Oxfords are great shoes. I did have to order a half size larger in these. They slip on easily with the zippers unzipped. I can walk and walk in them with no rubbing or blisters; no break-in period necessary. They can be worn with thin socks or with tights. Or barefoot! Dresses, jeans, other pants or leggings. A perfect all around shoe. Yes, I recommend these!
I always look for Clarks shoes on sale because they are so comfortable and found this pair. It's a tight fit but I think it will be okay after wearing them for a day or so.The color is more like a greyish brown than taupe, but I actually like it.
I don’t have wide feet but I can’t wear shoes that have a narrow toe box. Like 98% of all the shoes I try on. These Clarks are comfy and the side zipper is unobtrusive. Yes, they’re kinda old lady shoes but they look nice under slacks and are quite plain. Just right for me!
these shoes fit exactly as expected. They’re comfortable. If you have wider feet, that may not fit you though because I have narrow feet, and they fit me fine.
I love that they are available in wide. They are comfortable and look nice with casual dress outfits. The zipper on the side makes them easy to don and doff.
So disappointed in these shoes. I haven't worn Clarks in years. I thought these Carleigh's were quite nice looking, plus I was thrilled to see Clark's offers wide sizes. I will order wides when available, tho, I can generally wear regular width Keens & Merrell's. As soon as I took these Carleighs out of the box, I could tell they were not a real wide shoe. The shoe was comfortable except for the width. Both shoes hurt my small toes. I had to return. So sad.....
