My son (now 8) always needs "fancy shoes" around for those rare special occasions, but they often get used only once or twice before he grows out of them. This time I decided to go for a more in-between style so that he might be able to wear them for more activities. These shoes have been an ideal choice. The sole is rubber and the upper is seriously comfy. (I have small feet, so I was able to try one on--wow! They are soft inside.) My son can wear them for nearly any activity, and it looks as though he has dressy shoes on. They are very well made and would likely hold up to every day use, but I would worry about them maintaining their "fancy shoe" look if they were used for heavy play too often. That said, we will definitely be buying these again. (My husband just asked if they come in his size!)
Last minute order for my son's winter concert. Upon trying on his existing pair of shoes and realizing they were now outgrown I had to think fast. These shoes were a lifesaver! I got them in 2 days, perfectly packaged and shiny (as all new shoes should be). They were true to size, even on the width- no smaller, no bigger. The bottom of the shoes were not slippery and they looked great with his suit...and all for $13. Very happy customer.
My son attends Catholic school and these are as close to sneakers as shoes come. He loves them. I keep ordering them so that must say something. But the leather? around the toes flakes away easily making them unsightly after a few months of daily ware. It should be noted that he’s not exactly super athletic or aggressive more nerdy/passive so it’s not as if he’s rough housing in them. But they’re comfy and look good while they...look good;).
Great shoes that last a long time (except for growing feet)! Comfortable, easy to slip on, and sturdy for active kiddos. My son wears a 3 and I had to get him a 2.5, so they do run a tad big. He wore his last pair everyday to school and they lasted through recess and everyday use for the whole year! Only reason we bought new ones was because he grew out of the old ones, but they still had a lot of wear left!
They were a bit bigger than expected. However, I put hem aside until they fitted my son. They look dressy, they are very comfortable, and were a great price.
Great shoes. I love how they fit and look. They have the style of a shoe but are able to feel and be worn like a sneaker. They look very smart with uniform but allow my soon to play soccer in them without destroying. So far he is on his second month with them and they are still holding up well. These shipped super fast. I would buy these again.
I bought this at the end of August, for my six year old son to wear at the start the new school term(Sept 3rd 2012). It looked great but after day 2, the stitching at the front began to unravel. Yesterday, after exactly 6 weeks of 'Mon-Fri and a few days off' of wear, they fell apart at the soles. I will never buy this brand again. I am not unrealistic; I don't expect little boys' shoes to last forever, but I have purchased cheaper shoes that at least lasted an entire school term.
These are nice sturdy shoes, but my kid doesn't want to wear them unless he's wearing his police man costume. They're slightly narrow and just a pinch difficult to get on the wiggly kid's feet at first. He wore them all day on Halloween through corn pits, slides, and hay mountains and he was fairly comfortable in them. They look snazzy enough that I wish they met his fashion standards. He's four.
