First made in the mid-’60s, the 3989 Brogue is a rebellious union of proper menswear and counterculture attitude, resulting in pure style. It combines classic wingtip style with extra-thick grooved soles for a bold look, all topped off with iconic Doc’s details. Built to last, it’s forged using one of the finest methods of construction: utilizing a Goodyear welt and heat-sealing it to the sole. The 3989 is made with highly durable leather and sits on an AirWair sole, which is oil and fat resistant with good abrasion and slip resistance. Use Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam to protect the leather and keep your boots clean, soft and supple. Dr. Martens puts their distinct spin on a classic wingtip with this oxford. A velvety leather upper sports classic brogueing and pinking for a refined look while the sole is all Dr. Martens. Built for style and comfort, this is a real statement shoe. Dr. Martens, also known as Doc Martens, Docs, or DMs, has stomped its way into history since 1901. Originally created by Dr. Klaus Maertens, a German soldier who designed a comfortable air-cushioned boot to aid his recovery from a broken foot, the footwear quickly gained popularity. In 1960, the brand we know today was born with the iconic 1460 boot, adopted by British working-class youth and later embraced by various subcultures for its durability and rebellious spirit.
Dr. Martens prioritizes both timeless design and rugged construction. Their shoes are instantly recognizable by their air-cushioned sole, yellow stitching, and utilitarian details. Made with high-quality leather, Dr. Martens boots and shoes are built to withstand years of wear and tear, making them a true investment piece.
Got a lot of attention. Looked good with an expensive suit. The toe is a bit boot shaped is my only complaint. CLASSY MAN MAKES ME WANT TO DANCE.
I absolutely love these shoes. I have wanted a pair for a very long time. I have had Doc's in the past and they are well worth the money. They last forever! The only negative thing I would say is because they are all leather they are stiff at first and it takes a bit to break them in. However then they shape to your feet and are so comfortable.
Dr. Martens, shoe from late 1990s and early 2000s.Would were the brand during my Rebel Days in southern Cali. Great shoes. Great price. Great Memories!
Quality of the product is superb and the shoe fits comfortably.
The shoes are very well made. .However, they are not true to size. You would need to get a size smaller,
I get compliments all the way from teens to staff they want to know where I got them. Everyone loves shoes.
Big win at Christmas.
