I ordered these for my birthday and tried them on and walked around my house. The boots are heavy and to big. They fit more like a 9.5 than a size 9. The size 8 was way to small so I was hoping these fit. Unfortunately I had to return them 😒 wish they came in half sizes.

These shoes are SO cute. I love the ribbon laces, they definitely add a soft feminine vibe to the shoe. I heavily read into the reviews prior to buying the shoes, and I was fully aware of the hesitant comments.I will say, these shoes are hard to break in, and the back heel lip definitely rubs uncomfortably against my heel (double socking during the colder months to prevent this). They are heavier than the average shoe, but take into account the platform. They are definitely durable!
Another pair of cute Docs. They fit a little snug in my regular size but can still get em on comfortably with a pair of socks. Still going to have the painful period of breaking them in, it's a rite of passage, but worth it.
I feel like it would still hurt at the back of my ankles after a long walk even though these are not high martens.They are pretty heavy. Other things are splendid. The quality, the packaging, delivery, laces.
I’ve been wearing Docs for decades because I have wide feet and can “break them in”. Their boots have always been my go-to, but I love the Oxford style and bought my first oxfords from them ~5 years ago. I am *always* a solid 8 with Doc Martens, and after reading the reviews, I debated going smaller, but did not. I’m glad I didn’t. They are super comfortable and give just the right amount of room for a thicker sock in the colder months. Yes, they are a little loose on the heel, but I think that’s just because of the cut of the shoe. The heel side sits pretty low, but it’s not annoying at all.
