These are well made and super cute. They do require a break in unless you want to soften up the leather, especially around the top of the tongue. But they have plenty of room to put an insert in since they don’t have any cushioning. I have a wider forefoot and I love these shoes because they don’t crowd my toes. I have several pair. I normally wear a size 10 in boots and 9.5 in shoes. The same runs true for these shoes.
These shoes are so well made and super comfortable - the toe box is quite wide and would accommodate ANY kind of foot problem. And they are super cute...from the side. Out of the box, I was a little nervous, because the red dye had bled a bit onto the packaging and the rubber sole, but that stuff eventually wears off, so no big. But my first thought when I put these shoes on was...I look like Ronald McDonald...clown shoe from the top, for sure. I want to be the kind of person who can sacrifice style for comfort, but these are a bit beyond, and my friends would never let me wear them without teasing! Ladies, maybe just don't get the red. Guys, I bet they'd be fine!
OMG. I came across these shoes & thought they were super cute & would be perfect for work. I waited for a long time before making the plunge as I've never spent a ton of money for shoes. Well I'm so glad I sucked it up & splurged. They are cute, comfortable & the break in process is easy as in never hurting my feet. I can wear my arch support in them & not want to take them off. Now I am eyeing other shoes for future purchases!
I have wide toes and these shoes are one of the few shoes I have found comfortable for all day wear. At first I was disappointed that the shoes felt tight in the instep with any added insole and my toes were going numb. An insole is absolutely necessary as the shoes are flat and hard inside. First I tried the shoes without an insert, but got bad foot cramps. I tried a 3/4 arch support, but the heel cup was too shalIow. I was able to find a thin yet comfortable insole to place inside the shoes, but the instep was still a bit tight. Breaking them in was a bit uncomfortable, but once they were broken in, the instep is no longer too tight. If I put shoe stretchers in when I am not wearing them they maintain their comfort. If I leave them without the stretchers, they are a bit tight for half an hour or so, and then the rest of the day is comfortable as can be aside from barefoot. Overall, I really like the fit and style, but I think they could be improved by having a slightly larger instep and a taller heel cup for those who need to add arch support or orthotics. They fit as expected as far as foor length, but a bit small in the instep for those who need to add insoles.
Great shoes
The black 8.5 from sportique is a size euro 43. They told me it was a 41, but this was incorrect. So beware there. I returned them but they have them listed as an 8.5 again. Otherwise, cute shoes.
