After trying Rockports and a few other brands,I started wearing my Easy Spirit black oxfords.They were very comfy,but showing their wear( although they held up well).I decided to get a new pair for dressier occasions(I am an 80 yo female and do not wear shoes with high heels).These fit comfortably right out of the box!

I usually wear 7.5 size shoes and have wide feet, so I ordered the 7.5 wide shoes. When I got them they were too big for me (length and width wise). I decided to return them and get the size 7 shoes. They fit really well, maybe a smidge tighter towards the top of the shoe than what I would like, but I do like the shoes. Overall, I would say these are pretty good shoes and I'm happy with my second purchase :)
I've not worn this style before but took a chance in ordering them sight unseen. They are well made with a more pointed toe than other "sensible shoes," thereby feeling snug when first worn. Being that the supple leather stretches, I'm fine in wearing the size I normally wear, as long as I only use thin socks. There is no major arch support, so if you need to add them, you would benefit from ordering up in size. These are not sexy shoes, are not athletic shoes, are sort of frumpy, but I like them because they hug my feet and are not clunky. I can see why the style is popular and am impressed by the assortment of materials used. The black leather shoes I received were made in Ethiopia. I like to slip them on to walk the dog when I don't want to put on running shoes because they protect my feet more than sandals yet are just as light.

They fit great and feel great.
