ECCO, a Danish footwear brand founded in 1963 by Karl Toosbuy, began with a simple yet revolutionary idea: creating comfortable shoes that mimicked the barefoot walking experience. Toosbuy believed that shoes shouldn't restrict the natural movement of the foot, and ECCO's commitment to ergonomic design has been at the heart of the brand ever since.
ECCO prioritizes both comfort and style. They utilize innovative technologies and premium materials to create shoes that are anatomically shaped, lightweight, and flexible. ECCO also boasts a keen eye for design, offering a range of styles that are both functional and fashion-forward.
The Ecco Fusion line has been a favorite of mine for many years. The deep toe box and good support make it comfortable enough to walk to work and stylish enough to wear at work. Unfortunately, Ecco has discontinued this line and has not replaced it with anything comparable, as far as I can tell. Occasionally, Amazon is able to offer the shoes in a limited and varying set of sizes, so you have to check back frequently. My only issue with the Amazon offering is the way the sizes are listed. The shoes were sold in stores with European sizing, but Amazon lists the range of US sizes. These overlap, so it is hard to tell which EU size the listed US size range corresponds to. It shouldn't be hard for a trillion dollar corporation to provide both pieces of information.
I had done a 7 day try before you buy on this shoe and when it arrived and I put it on, boy was it comfortable! The quality look with the soft nubuck full-grain leather along with the cushion of the supportive inserts were impressive and ready to wear with NO break in period right out of the box. I've been an Ecco shoe purchaser for several years now and have found that they are still one of the best shoes on the market for quality, comfort, and price. I highly recommend!
Ecco are great brand of work shoes for comfort yet nice looking.
My daily go to shoe for years.
Perfect dress/casual shoe.
I bought these mostly for when I need to wear a suit. Since I don't work a job at a restaurant and have only worn them a couple of times, I don't have much to contribute here in regards to their anti-slip performance or durability. However, if you are looking for something not-too-fancy but comfortable enough for you to stand or walk around in for long hours without giving you blisters all over your feet, these shoes are actually pretty good for the job. Now, having said that, there is one caveat: the first time I put these shoes on, there was something sticking out from the back of one of them so much so that I ended up with a blister on my right ankle. I ain't sure it was a problem with the shoe or the way I put it on, but, following the advice from an old shoemaker, whatever hurting my foot was simply gone for good as soon as I took a mallet and gave the area in question a few good whacks. Till now, I still ain't entirely certain it's a manufacturing defect I've "fixed", but given I've put up with far worse from more expensive pairs, I don't suppose this is much at all a deal-breaker by comparison.
Purchased these for my husband who has high arches and problem feet. He has great difficulty with finding shoes that are comfortable enough for his feet, but there fit great! We are happy since they are dressy enough to wear for the business casual workplace.
Had the same style for a decade before they finally wore out. They were the most comfortable shoes i had at the time. Decided to get the same ones as a replacement. These cut into the bottom of my ankles so much when i walk that they made me bleed. The leather is also very firm and doesnt bend and flex in the way the older shoes did. Cheaper leather and cheap feeling shoe as a whole. Terrible quality!
