ECCO, a Danish footwear brand founded in 1963 by Karl Toosbuy, began with a simple yet revolutionary idea: creating comfortable shoes that mimicked the barefoot walking experience. Toosbuy believed that shoes shouldn't restrict the natural movement of the foot, and ECCO's commitment to ergonomic design has been at the heart of the brand ever since.
ECCO prioritizes both comfort and style. They utilize innovative technologies and premium materials to create shoes that are anatomically shaped, lightweight, and flexible. ECCO also boasts a keen eye for design, offering a range of styles that are both functional and fashion-forward.
These are beautifully constructed and very light and comfortable shoes. I even like the plain workman-like appearance. However, be sure to order a little bigger as they run small. Specifically, narrow. Luckily I did order a 45 rather than 44 based on prior reviews. Glad I did, as they are a perfect fit. Snug with a heavy sock though.
I like the style and I have been wearing ECCOs for years in the same size. What I like about ECCOs is typically they give room for your feet to flex and are comfortable as soon as you put them on. I ordered this shoe and the Men's Fusion Tie Oxford/ AKA APRON-TOE DERBY. In the same size. The Oxford fit much better. If you have narrow feet then this shoe will probably work for you, I have average feet and felt it was a litt too snug and did not want to see if they would break in.
These shoes are far from the correct size. I have a smaller foot so it's hard to find good shoes. They claimed they carried my size but when I tried them on they were 3 to 4 sizes to big (not including half sizes). I double checked my order and the tag on the shoes and everything matched my correct size except the actual shoe.
I ordered size 42 (EU), and they fit perfect. They are not as tight as some customers have mentioned. They are just very snug for a few days until you break them in. I'm glad they are just a little bit tight 'cause shoes expand as they get older. My other Ecco shoes, also size 42, were not as snug/tight as these, so over time they felt a bit loose. I'm thrilled with these, I love them I'm walking much better in them too! Thank!
