Son has wide feet and needs a wide toe box. These are real leather (inside and out!), quality made and mighty good looking! Purchased the brown and it's a deep, rich, go with anything brown. Needed to go with school uniform for presentation day and had purchased several other brands...stride rites were 100% plastic, ugh! Son is the pickiest shoe-wearer I've ever met so the fact he survived a day in these and loved them speaks volumes...and that was without any break-in time. Purchased 3 pairs of this brand for my daughter. Love the quality of those for her as well, although those are much more narrow which is perfect for her.
