These are very good shoes. Comfortable, stylish and really good value. Highly recommend. Would buy again.
, but I can tell that they're not as high of quality as Allen Edmonds (nor would I expect them to be; but the contrast is more obvious). So personally if you want brown brogues, I would save up for a more expensive pair elsewhere.3. These shoes hold up really well, especially because the sole is rubber made to look like leather rather than real leather. I live in a very rainy city, and I'm hard on my shoes, and so far my two favorite pairs have taken a beating quite well.
On the first pair of these the stitching fell apart at the top of the upper after only about 10 days, but I'm hoping that was just a fluke. The second pair so far is going strong. They look and feel better than others in this price range (e.g. Bostonian or Rockport). The synthetic outsole handles wet ground like rubber but looks very much like leather. I wish higher end shoes would use something like that instead of only having the choices of dry ground only leather or ugly Vibram. My only complaint is the footbed. It's somewhere around 1/8" thick memory foam, which I'm sure is much better than the terrible strip of closed cell foam that's usually in shoes in this price range as an insole, but I never keep the stock insoles and this one is unnecessarily glued to the bottom of the shoe, forcing me to use less comfortable 3/4 length orthotics rather than fully replacing the insole.
We purchased these shoes for my husband and he LOVES them! They are excellent quality and he says they are very comfortable. It is often necessary for him to wear these shoes all day and he said they felt great the whole time. He generally wears a 10.5 but we usually go up 1/2 size in dress shoes. The size 11 were perfect. These shoes are SUPER sharp for dress wear (quality of leather and shine are great), and the Amazon price smoked the department store prices. He has both black and tan and loves them! We are very pleased with our purchase.
very confortable
The Florsheims seem to run long! This is the second pair I just bought of a different style, and they are LONG. Size 10.5 3EEE is actually 11.5 inch long. The toe box is too narrow for a 3EEE. The "the insole is fully cushioned with memory foam technology for long lasting comfort"; well sort of. The heel is well cushioned, but the toe area has minimal cushioning and one can easily feel the hardness of the floor. probably because the toe box is TOO small to allow any more cushioning and sell as a 3EEE. Compared to other brand "wide' shoes, these are about 1/4 inch narrower. OK with thin dress socks. but that's it. Hard soles are NOISY walking on a hard floor. You will be heard coming! As far as quality, they are well made. The upper leather at the ankle is soft and supple; does not dig in like other models (Lexington Wingtip).
Looks good, perfect fit.
All my dress shoes are size 8.5 eee. This 8.5 eee was two inches longer than every pair of shoes I have. Quality is excellent but the Made in India folks must be using a different sizing chart. Anyone ordering these shoes I would recommend ordering one size smaller than you really are.So, fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice shame on me. Paid another $12 shipping to exchange these for smaller size of 7.5 EEE as 8.5 EEE's were a full two inches too long. Replacement pair of 7.5 EEE is more like 7.5 AAA. My big feet pinched to point of blisters. Figured they may just need to be broken in. Two weeks and I cannot stand them any more. I got blisters. So what the hell happened to the great Florsheim company? My grandfather and father wore nothing but black and brown wing tips from Florsheims. Classy looking and super comfortable. Workmanship was top drawer. Made in USA. You could have them re-soled 4-6 times before the tops gave out. Now, same good looking shoe and fine leather but sizing is so out of whack it must be embarrassing to the old work force and corporate execs. Now made in India. They got lots of really smart people in India so why can't they figure out proper sizing? I've wasted over $100 and a lot of pain trying to make this pair of shoes work but off to Goodwill they go for some kid that is size 6.5 AAA according to my calculations. I'd give them zero stars if I could but I guess you have to give them at least one star..
