This is my fourth pair of KEEN. I would not buy any thing else for work. Best wearing shoes ever. Thanks KEEN keep up great work.
I had a pair before these that were much better. I don't know what material the uppers on these are but they very stiff and squeak when I walk. On top of that I wore an 11 W before but I got 11 D this time but they weren't to narrow they were too short. Keen needs to fix the consistency of there sizing
Well made, nice work shoes. I got these to replace some old work boots and I'm not a real fan of boots, so having these in speaker form was awesome to me. When I ordered, I knew I have my normal sneakers as a size 10.5 but I measured my foot at a hair under 10-1/2 inches from heal to tip of the big toe. I ordered the 10.5 since the size chart claims the shoe is 27.3cm heel to toe. I'm glad I did as it fit perfect with just the right amount of room between my toes and the toe of the shoe. I went and took out my trusty tape measure and the sole does indeed seem to be 10-3/4 inches long, so I think KEEN's sizing chart is SPOT ON. If you're not already, make sure to measure your foot (with your socks on, in my opinion) to verify your true measurement, as your current shoe size doesn't mean that is right. So outside of the sizing, the shoe walks well. It is stiff in general, as that is the purpose of these shoes, but I don't notice when walking in them, which is excellent. The tip is not magnetic, so I'll believe it is non-metallic. I wear these when out working electrical, which is really the exact target audience. So far the grip of these shoes have been excellent. I haven't yet been up on an asphalt roof since I got these, but I'll try to update when I do.
Pros:- I believe the sole is it’s best feature. It’s very slip-resistant, has great tread, and durable.- These shoes have removable insoles so when they get beat-up, I’ll insert wool insoles.- There is a shank in the footbed. This is very rare these days as most quality manufacturers stopped including shanks, which offer puncture resistance to nails as well as add stability.- The lining includes a natural, probiotic-based tech that breaks down the odor in sweat.Cons:- I must say that this leather doesn’t look like any other real leather shoes that I own. Sorry but it looks and feels and smells synthetic.- Any shoe over a hundred dollars (this one is selling for 117 as of Aug. 2022) should be made of full-grain genuine leather.
My new favorite low cut work shoe, when I don't need a full boot. The picture is from after moving 180 - 24 lb stones. A couple of them I had to try and break apart as they were held together by liquid nails for landscaping that a friend tore out. Suffice it to say, a couple of times a stone rolled onto my foot and I did not feel a thing. However, when it pinched a finger that it's a different story. My mother has worked in factories a large part of her life and said that most factories do not allow composite toe shoes as they have not quite proven they are as good as steel. So, they may not work for your job but they certainly do work for the handyman and gardener.I also had a friend who raved about Keen's shoes and sandals. I now see why. They are comfortable, good arch support, and I can wear them all day without feeling fatigued.
FITI fit into about 90% of size 12 shoes, and these fit me perfectly, with a nice roomy toe box in case I need to wear thick socks in cold weather.COMFORTThey feel a lot like walking shoes, though the soles are just a tad harder. Pretty comfortable for a work shoe.FEATURESThe toe is carbon fiber rather than steel (Keen says it's 15% lighter), so the shoes are lighter than steel toe shoes, though they're still heavyish. The "slip-resistant outsole" is essential for a work shoe (e.g., working in concrete floors), and they're safety rated for Non-Slip. Keen claims the "ReGEN" midsole provides a "50% energy return with every step." Not sure if that's marketing hype or a real thing, though.LOOKSThey're bulkier than a sneaker, but still have the nice lines of a good walking shoe.SUMMARYAt the current price ($94) these are a good deal in a full-featured work shoe.
Overall these work boots are well made and look nice. The composite toe is within specifications for companies that allow you to wear these types of shoes. The sticking is nice with no bad spots. My only issue is I wear a size 12. I don't have a lot of room for error with my shoe size. These are smaller than a 12, so my brother who wears an 11 got a nice pair of work shoes. He loves these shoes and said they feel great to wear.I had to drop 2 stars for the sizing issues.
My husband’s workplace requires steel/ composite toed shoes. He has 2 pairs of Keen ankle boots he’s been wearing and likes the fit,so we decided to give these a try, especially to wear in warmer weather. He says the fit is good, the same as his other Keen; he wears a 9 and the 9 fits perfectly. His only complaints were that they were a little heavier than he’d hoped for and that they were hot on a warm day. Overall, he still prefers his ankle boots, but these are okay for a change up.
