Our son has foot and back problems. He loves Keen shoes. These, unfortunately, didn't fit him correctly. I usually buy him a different style. He has a wide foot with skinny ankles. These were too wide in the ankle.
So if you’re picky about shoes and want a quality pair of shoes that will last a long time these are for you!(Shoe specific details further down in review look for *)My husband tried on every shoe/boot from 7 different stores refusing to buy anything until he found these. A pair of shoes that can withstand abnormal abuse from work without falling apart and remaining comfortable without losing arch nor ankle support. He literally looks at everything from material to design of tread, how laces are placed.... Regular shoes last him maybe 1-2 months. These keens show no sign of falling apart, they look great. It’s been 2 months.*Treads don’t come off or fall apart. Solid design made with good material.*Toe room is perfect. Not to tight and not too big. Husband has wide feet and these allow him to spread his toes.*Ankle support is good and the placement of laces also helps that area. This is a huge one for my husband. After having his ankle and leg broke, shoe that have support in the ankle region is a must!Insoles are decent. He doesn’t get “the fatigue” after he’s been on concrete, ladders and roofs. But since he does this 5-6 days a week for 8-12 hours at a time insoles will be the first thing needing to get replaced. And these insoles are removable:)*The upper shoe is leather and other material. Good stitching from The sole up. And that does include the inside! Everything is symmetrical to the foot and shoe. And both shoes stitches pair up with each other.*The laces are really durable. The shoelace holes/holders are quality. They are metal and passed my husbands quality check.(I wish I could record him when he’s doing his quality check routine. Even the shoe salesman are taking back by his “anal retentive” attention to detail. He’s the toughest shoe critic)I would definitely buy these shoes again. They are good quality and that saves time and money!I would like to give a thank you to Amazon for sending a perfect pair of shoes the first time. I was so worried that I’d have to return them for some minor flaw. But they were perfect.
I have idiopathic peripheral neuropathy in both feet. Nerve pain is no fun nor are some of the drugs that are supposed to help with it. I have found that if I have a good supportive shoe (well made footbed) I can pretty much go about my day without having to take prescription meds, get by with B vitamins and supplements and not be terribly bothered by my feet.Keen shoes have become my top favorite. The wide toe box is super comfortable. They are well made, stylish, durable, comfortable and protect my feet. I have tried several models of Keen’s low profile work shoes. I am liking this one a lot. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is the tongue. The top part of it where you make your knot is a sort of in-between width. Typically the tongue tucks under the edge of the collar on each side and the laces come over it. This one is not quite wide enough to want to stay under the collar on either side. It wants to pop out which makes it hard to get a snug fit when tying your shoe. It’s possible that Keen did not intend for the tongue to be tucked in on the sides. Regardless, it is still a very comfortable shoe.
These seemed very nice and sturdy. They were more shoe than I needed for work, so I returned them, but I would have kept them if they were what I needed.
General Contractor. I was able to get six months out of these shoes over the summer. They had begun to separate and delaminate at the toebox. The tread has lasted. The soul is pretty much toast at this point providing no support, feet beginning to hurt.
I have many pairs of keen slip on boots that I normally wear in the winter, but I left these in the garage by my boot drier just to put on from the house from my detached garage...I have never had so much trouble walking on my well salted walkway in 20f temps. These things are like wearing drunk shoes. I used to be able to get a full summer season out of a pair of these shoes, but my newest pair fell apart near the toe after 2 weeks. I used to be okay paying a premium for keen quality, but it just is not there anymore. Keen used to be a quality brand that was worth paying for, but now it is just another garbage brand.
Really like how they feel and are light weight. Only thing don’t like about them is that the soles tend to wear out pretty fast. Can slip off and on with laced and only have to wear one pair of socks. Steel toes are a must for my work as a glazier, and these are great!
My KEEN electro static discharge shoes are a perfect fit for my feet. Since I have flat feet with no arch, i went for a size 12 inch double EE. The shoe holds my back half of my foot in place, and the double wide space for my no arch flat feet feels very comfortable with no arch support, The front of my feet have enough wiggle room for my toes to move, but not touching the curved fabric lining inside the shoe where the steel toe is located. The outside leather is is higher on both sides of my foot with heavy-duty tongue breathable fabric on top, very well made.
