I had a pair of Sketchers composite toe work shoes that fell apart after just 4 months of use so about two years ago I bought a pair of Keen boots with a steel toe and loved them until the steel toe started rubbing my pinky toe. Two years of rugged use without a problem was very good in my opinion so I decided to buy Keen again. This time I opted for the KEEN Utility Men's Flint 2 Sport Low Height Composite Toe Work Shoes. Tried them on and they immediately started to rub around the ankle. I thought it would take a few days to break them in but 5 minutes of walking around and they were broken in. I wore them the whole day without a problem. The fit was great and comfortable. Bye, Bye Sketcher brand, hello Keen. If any thing changes I will be sure to update this post.
Shoes fit well and comfy for the most part. However the thin ankle area digs into my ankle as I walk. I suggest wearing thick sock and some sort of protective skin in that area.
I was sent shoes that have clearly been used not new. This is a disappointment.
I wanted so much to like these. I've away worn mid rise boots and wanted a low safety shoe for the summer. I don't know if this is a common issue or just me, but the hard material on the outsider sides of this shoe hits my ankle bone. Very uncomfortable to walk. Never got to wear them out, sending back right away.
Shoe fit well and is comfortable. Is a pain to put on. Just the way it is designed. Overall great shoe.
Always have worn Atlantas but it’s recently switched positions to a more active role and found the steel toe Atlantas to be just too heavy to walk 15,000+ steps a day in. These Flints are nice and a bit lighter without so much leather and with a composite toe(I still wanted toe protection) they are more “sock” like where the blue portion slides over your foot, there is no tongue just a faux tongue. I found this meant I couldn’t tie these as tight as my Atlantas since their tongue is more cushioned and took a few days to find the right fit, so gives these at least 3 days because my first day was pretty uncomfortable but they are perfect now.
