Being in the automotive industry, boots take an immense amount of abuse with all the chemicals from oils, solvents, liquids, etc. And from standing in them all day. I use to go through a pair of boots every 3-6 months. After 15 years in the industry,, it gets expensive. I tried multiple manufacturers and different style boots, but they always ended up not being what I needed them to be. Tired of spending so much money in boots that just don't last, I needed a real work boot.A friend of mine recommended KEEN. I went on to their website and realized they have a ton of boots, I didn't know which would be best for me. I messaged the company to see what they recommended. They quickly responded. This boot I am reviewing is one of the boots that was in the list. I chose this one cause, well let's be honest, its a sexy looking boot. I ordered from the manufacturer.I finally received my boots and slid them on my feet. A tear fell from my eye as I choked up a little. These boots are the most comfortable boots I have ever placed my foot in. I was so excited to wear these sexy beasts and give them a go. Well a 1 1/2 years later, I am now ordering my second pair. I included pictures of my old ones so you can see the abuse I put them through. The carbon toe is absolutely perfect. It saved me when some engine parts fell, then I found out I could be a world class soccer player kicking a part or tool across the shop floor, etc. I never slipped on any/all the chemicals that were on the floors. I never got athletes feet in these. My feet never hurt in these.I highly recommend this boot for anyone. Its very well built, super comfortable, and long lasting. I will never purchase a different boot again from another manufacturer. I absolutely love these boots.
Very comfortable and sturdy pair of shoes. Have had mine for 2 years now and haven't had any big problems with it. Only thing is that the tongue seems to have s preference to roll to one side but other than that I have no doubt that they will last me at least 2 more years. Compared to my last pair of boots that didn't even last 6 months, these are a no brainer and I would definitely recommend them.
I have very wide feet due to extra ankle bones on the insides of my feet. I have loved other KEEN shoes in 10.5 W size. I found these shoes very comfortable for a couple of weeks. After a couple of weeks though, I noticed pain in the top of my left foot. Looking closer at the shoe, it looks like the tongue doesn't do a great job of insulating the foot from the rivet. It might just need to be re-laced, but I had to take a break from the shoes because of the pain they were causing on my left foot. The right shoe is still fine. I might update this if I can solve the rivet problem.
before purchasing this product, I was hesitant because of the color. The color was too light brown. In reality, the color is not as bright as in the photo, it is more richer color and it is much nicer because it is a chocolate brown color suitable for fall and winter and also summer. color taste is different for everyone but i like this deep and richer brown. efore purchasing this product, I was hesitant because of the color. It is heavy but not too heavy. efore purchasing this product, I was hesitant because of the color. The color is too light brown. When Red Wings stopped making my go to work shoe, I began searching for a comfortable, tough, slip resistant leather shoe. These shoes are all of that and then some. Keen is now my go to for work shoes and boots.
Just outside return window both shoes start pulling apart from rubber insole!!!! What a complete and total waste of my money!!!
I was excited about purchasing these shoes because I got a good deal and I like the style. Unfortunately after wearing them for a week or so I noticed on the top of my left foot I started feeling some pain and redness. I thought the pain might have to do with it being a new shoe and it's just a matter of time the shoe will break in or loosen up and the pain would go away but that wasn't the case. I also tried loosening up the shoe laces but not luck, still had the pain. Then I thought it was one of the shoe lace grommets that's causing the pain but still same problem. Not sure if it's my foot or the actual shoe that is the issue here but I winded up returning them cause the pain was unbearable. I've never really had a problem with this kind of pain with any other shoes but my bet is something wrong with the shoe.
These were the most comfortable shoes straight out of the box I've ever had. They have worn very little although I wear them to work daily. I love these shoes and will buy this model as long as they make it.
