Fit as expected, looks great, a little stiff (as expected from new leather), but comfortable.
They are so soft
These slid on my wide foot perfectly but they have no arch support. I had to buy inserts to put in them as my arch was burning in under an hour. I still think they are a great shoe but I'd factor in buying some inserts into the price!
It was difficult for me to get store-bought dress shoes that don't squeeze my feet, even if I got a larger size. These triple-E shoes don't have that problem, they are wide, especially around the toe-box area, and comfortable to stand, or sit in, for hours during lectures. And this model is quietly stylish.
I like these dress shoes. They fit well and were very affordable. Worn them several times and they still look like new.
I received these oxfords (size 12W) in a broken box with a broken lid and no padding. These were going to be for my husband to use as a Sunday dress shoe and also as a replacement AGSU brown oxford. His true size is 11.5W, but due to its unavailability, I went for the 12W, and although I expected it to be a bit large, it was much larger than expected, giving him about an inch for his heel to slide instead of the typical 0.5-1cm difference between half sizes. The width however was perfect for his wide feet, and the toe box is squared/flattering/very forgiving. But most noticeably were these lightened stain-looking spots on the top of one of the shoes (see picture), as if bleach were splashed on them. If I were into leather shoe restoration, maybe I would've picked these up for $10, but these certainly weren't worth the $70 I spent for them supposedly new. Returned.I've included a picture for those interested in the difference in color between the standard AGSU dress shoe vs. these - notice they lean quite red-brown. I plan to try some dark brown Red Moose polish on a pair of Clarks Whiddon Cap Oxfords (Mahogany) that I was able to find on Amazon in an 11.5W to adjust the color to our needs.
So hard to find extra wide shoes for a family member! These are a true extra wide shoe. The 8XW was too big-we never had that problem before. I'm returning, but ordering half a size down. The color is nice and they do not look cheap.
I tried two sizes for this shoe.First I tried the 9.5, which is what I normally wear in dress shoes and smaller than my normal shoe size. I couldn't even get my foot inside, the back was very thin and my foot was too tall. I returned it and ordered the 10.5.At first, I thought I had found it. The back fit perfect and my foot slipped in as I expected. The fit ended there though, the rest of my foot swam in the shoe. The sides we're too wide, my toes were a solid inch from the front of the shoe, and worst of all the top still crushed down on the top of my foot. The worst parts of the fit were the way it was way too thin for your heel and how it crushed down on the top of your foot. To make matters worse, when stepping normally the top would crease down in a way that hurt the top of my foot even more and would clearly leave permanent creases in the shoe over time. Not a shoe I'd ever suggest.
