I work in the glass industry and let me tell you, to not wear protective footwear would be just plain stupid. It's not just about protection... your hard cap toe also a tool as a perfect place to lay the corner of your 200 lb piece of glass while you wait for your partner to get the rubber pad situated. Because I wear "steel-toe" daily but in extremely varied situations, I have 3 pairs of work footwear. All 3 were purchased on Amazon, 2 of them through "Wardrobe", which allowed me to try on 3 more pairs that I did not like AT ALL!For muddy, wet or challenging terrain, I prefer my Keen Pittsburg set. Lightweight for how much they cover, they could easily be a solid hiking boot. For medium to heavy-duty days, where I expect I could have something easily fall on my foot, scrape or cut me, and the terrain is unknown, I prefer my Timberland PRO Powertrain Sports. However, my favorite everyday work shoe is the Reebok Work DMX Flex RB3602. These could not feel less like a work shoe, they are so light and comfortable. I even wear these after work and on weekends! Though they are my favorite, they do have two items I will be nitpicky with - they are not great in wet situations, (a bit slippery), and the laces easily come untied. These are minor issues, as I have 2 other pairs that perform amazingly in wet conditions, and I could always double tie my knots or even use a different knot.In summary, if you spend a lot of time on your feet in a hazardous work environment, do yourself a favor - be good to your feet! Get 3-4 pairs, (or at least 2!), of high-quality shoes so you can swap not just for conditions but to give your shoes a day or more between uses to air out. They all last longer this way! Also, get a few pairs of Merino wool socks. They sound and look like they would be way too hot, but trust me... you don't know what you are missing. Believe it!
Really exceptional sneakers , comfortable fit for my 10.5 W foot and offers alloy toe protection which benefit my worksite and industry visits. Bought one like this 4.5 years ago and though its worn its still going strong which means that these are offering exceptional value for money.
I absolutely love these work shoes, they are pretty comfortable, especially with the heel padding. They can be tricky to get on since it's somewhat of a tight fit but that can be fixed by re-lacing the shoe strings. They really are slip proof, I work in an oily environment and slip less than my coworkers who wear primarily boots. They do age fast and you'll notice scratches and discoloration, I'd say they last a year or so.
first off, I work flight line in 90 degree heat and sun year around walking around 15-20 miles daily during work. I was hoping Reebok would at least have a longer lasting sole and quality since they are famous for sports shoes. The sole didnt last a month before wearing down and air came out making it almost uselesss, the toe material outside peeled off in 1 week and the rest of shoe wore out extremely quickly. These should not be called work/construction boots!! The last boots from caterpillar lasted me a year in the harsh conditions but these were unusable in 2 months. They look good yes and they were comfy at the beginning. overall very dissapointed for the price.
I have used these shoes for around two months as an AFM at Amazon. Given the size of my current facility, I usually walk around 12 - 14 miles over the course of my shift. Here are some of the things I have noticed both me and others have reviewed on.1.) The air cushioning in the heel is a great idea in theory. After a few weeks of walking, I've noticed a faint hissing sound coming from my right shoe. Soon after, my left shoe had started doing the same thing. The sound is noticeably louder when the sides of the shoe are wet - for example, walking though dew-covered grass. The simplest solution I've found was to either backfill the cavity with expanding foam, or to drill a hole in the heel to allow air from the cavity to escape easier. This obviously has its downsides.2.) The hardened toe of the shoes doesn't cover the sides of your shoe. (The section of shoe right in front of your pinky toe.)I was using my heel to slow down a pallet jack and ended up ramming the wheel of the handle right into my pinky toe.3.) The cushioning pad in the back of the shoe is rather abrasive. This problem might just apply to me because of the way I walk, but I felt like I needed to include it here. The heel cushion that protects the back of your foot from abrasion of the shoe works well, but only after it has broken in significantly. Here are some things I did really like about the shoe:1.) The sole is nice and hard. The sole is pretty durable, and I don't see it breaking down in the future. It also keeps any foreign objects from going through the sole and into your foot.It also makes a satisfying clacking sound on tile or concrete.2.) The primary color is neutral with a good accent color.I'm one of those kinds of individuals who doesn't like to wear flashy footwear, so these shoes suit me.3.) They are easy to slip your foot into.Since I am rather lethargic in the morning, having something that requires minimal effort to put on is a good bonus to my morning. Sometimes I'll need to redo the laces, but otherwise they are easy to put on.Overall, I am mixed on these shoes. I'm not sure if I like them or hate them.I hope my take on these shoes influenced your view to some degree.
Safety toe is solid, very comfortable all day wear, non slip is good.
I have to wear safety toe shoes for work. I have worn steel toe and they are just too heavy. I tried composite and they were better but still a bit heavy. A friend bought a pair of Reebok shoes and he recommended these. Such a relief compared to other shoes. The fit is just right and the insole is very comfortable. The weight is light enough that my feet don't feel like stones.
They didn't last long for landscaping and were too narrow
