I work as an engineer in the office but go to the shop twice a day as part of my job. Need composite covered footwear and the company was nice enough to give us vouchers for Redwing boots. So I would come to work in sneakers and swap over to boots and back and forth. That got old kinda quick and I looked for other options. These shoes are pretty comfortable, but in a few months I will most likely get some insoles. These shoes are very lightweight. They fit around the foot just right. And are slip resistant. They do take some time breaking in the squeeking noise when walking on smooth surfaces, but overall a great alternative for people who need composite toe footwear but don't want to wear boots.
These were very nice looking and comfortable. I had to send them back though because my pinky toe was completely exposed and if anything fell on them it would be like wearing no steel toe at all. They are light and if you work in the office and go in the plant or need some to go into customers that require it these are fine but if you are going to have stuff regularly falling or chances these are not a good choice for you.
These Rockports composite safety shoes had mixed reviews but for what I would use them for-business casual with need to explore work area I felt like these would fit the bill. I have now worn them daily for several occasions and they are so comfortable that I do not need to change shoes after work when going out for a business dinner. They are fashionable, comfortable and light weight. They are not for those engaging in heavy active work tasks, driving forklifts, construction, etc. but if you need to go onto the production floor or warehouse and then into the boardroom then these are the shoes to wear. Size it true to fit.
Less of a shoe and more of a slipper. There is no tongue, so the shoe doesn't really open to accommodate different foot dimensions. If you're a lanky guy with flat feet, they're probably fine. If you've got large feet and need some upward room in your shoes, these will not fit well, even the wide sizes. The material stretches a little, but not enough to make up for the lack of a tongue, like a proper shoe would have.
Wow! These shoes exceeded my expectations. They are turning out to be a great investment on my personal comfort
For work in warehouse like Snap-on tools company the Rockport work boot is light in weight and more comfortable then Reebok work boot
Rockport is by far my favorite shoe maker but this shoe doesn’t cut it. It’s the lightest safety toe shoe I’ve ever had but just isn’t durable and as the upper is like a fabric it’s been susceptible to stains and tears
I'm an engineer, and mostly work in the office. I got these for a high level program review meeting where we had to dress up and give a factory tour to some bigwigs (so safety shoes were still required). They fit well with slacks and a button down shirt. They don't get as hot as my boots, and are quite breathable - which is nice in the +104F summer months. The downside is there's no arch support which kills your feet. They're very very flat. Even the insole that comes stock is flat. So plan on getting some inserts, but that will take some tinkering and trimming to get it to fit right in the toe box. I ended up cutting the toe area off because I could not not get blisters from rubbing on the composite material. Maybe buy the wide version instead, and plan on getting inserts? Also, with the very mesh like fabric material, don't expect them to be waterproof.
