Skechers Men's New Wascana-Benen Military and Tactical Boot, Black, 9

Honestly, I don’t buy Skechers for their looks, I buy them for comfort. However, these are the first Skechers boots that I think look really great. And not only do they look great, but they are super comfortable too. This is the first pair of shoes that I’ve bought online as I always prefer to try them on in store first. But after having a difficult time finding a good pair of boots in stores around my area, I decided to take a chance on these boots when I saw them on Amazon, and I am so glad that I did.I work for Dish Network as a residential installation Technicinan, so I need a work boot that’s durable, comfortable to wear 10-12 hours a day, resilient to all weather conditions, slip resistant, and safe for climbing up and down and working from ladders all day. These boots definitely tic all of those boxes. With the relaxed fit and light weight, my feet feel really good by the end of the day. I have arthritis in both my big toes, most other boots I’ve worn usually make work painful by the end of the day, but so far these boots have really kept me nearly pain free by the end of the day. They also allow a good range of motion, which is important in my line of work as I need to get into some really awkward and uncomfortable positions when pulling cable through a dank crawl space or tight attic space. There’s even plenty of room for thicker winter socks on those extra cold days without losing any comfort. One downside of the relaxed fit that some might not like is the fact that there’s not a huge amount of ankle support. For me I prefer the wider range of motion in my ankles as opposed to a tighter more supportive feel around my ankles. And best of all, there’s really no break-in period needed. They were comfortable and ready to wear for work right from the get-go.The one item that I can’t fully comment on just yet is the durability of these boots as I haven’t worn them long enough to really say how durable they are. However, I’ve always found Skechers to last me quite a long time before needing replaced, and I expect these boots to have the same quality materials as all of my past Skechers boots have had. I have not had a chance to fully submerge them in a puddle of water either, but I have worn them in the rain and snow, and they have kept my feet warm and dry. Great fit, comfortable and good condition.

I needed a pair of boots & didn't want to spend $200 on another pair that I will trash at work. These boots keep my feet warm, dry, sweat free. I'm still breaking them in but they feel great. I haven't even put insoles in them yet & I'm pleased with these. This is the 1st Sketchers product I've ever owned & in truly impressed. I own Nike boots, Bate's, Redwing, Baffen. These are more durable & more comfortable than Nikes. They seem better built than Bates & more comfortable out the box. They'll never be a warm as a pair of Baffen's. I can't compare the toughness against Redwings. These Sketchers will have to put in some work to reach them standards. But for under $100, these are great!

For at least in recent memory, these are the only footwear that felt like a dream when I first put them on. No need to break in, they were perfectly snug in all the right ways. The only problems that I have had are due to me tying them too tight, which was easy enough to fix.

Pretty stylish boot for the durability and comfort level. Purchased at a great price.

I like the look and style of these boots. Good for winter snowblower or camping but I wouldn't go on lengthy hikes with them... I find them too stiff and could use more padding above the ankles... If I were to walk 2 miles or more, I'd be laid up in bed for a week with sore ankles and lower legs. They're still too new to judge how the bonded leather will hold up over time (read a lot of reviews about skin peeling) but for the 3 times I've worn them they still look new. A good boot for the price paid.

I had my doubts as Sketchers seem to really be mainly a sneaker co. but these boots are great! Super lite, Water Proof, Elec Hazard and Slip Resistant. They fit better than any shoe/boot I own. I put them through their paces during an 8 hour snow removal day at work and they not only stayed completely dry but lite enough to wear all day without the fatigue usually associated with heavy duty boots. I would buy again in a heartbeat. In fact though I don't need them right now, I may just get another pair for when these croak out. Which they all do so I won't bitch when that happens, just a fact of wear n tear.

My son loves these boots more than any other boots he's ever worn. Super comfy and durable and warm! Also has great tred for the snow.
