*Update* I was able to return the second size and get an Amazon credit for the different.The boots are great, comfortable if just a little tight in the ankle but I think that has more to do with foot size and getting the laces just right. They have a nice smooth grain to the leather and look great. I had ordered 2 pairs in different sizes to make sure I got the right fit. They do fit pretty true to size so that was good but what it meant is I had a second pair I needed to use the free Prime return on. This is where problems started. They are very similar to several other pairs I have had in the past like ones from lapolice gear or purchased from the local store so I was surprised to see that Sketchers made a pair. Like my sketcher shoes, they are good if you need to stand for a time in one place. I love the side zipper too, it saves a lot of time with lacing them up. I wish that Amazon had been better about trying to return the pair that didn't fit as well because otherwise they seem to be a great set of boots.
I worn these boots a few times. I found them to be very comfortable. I bought 8 wide which gives me enough room if I wanna wear thick socks for the winter. The boots are tall and I normally wear a wide calf boots, so they are a little snug at the top. What I do to rectify this is I pulled the zipper almost up to the very top and then I close the Velcro strap which is at the top. That I found is to be the most comfortable. If I was to pull the zipper up to where it sits under the Velcro strap that is too tight for me. I saw a couple reviews saying they were unable to use the side zipper to slide their foot out. I didn’t find this so, Maybe because I bought the wide boot but I am able to slide my foot out with a little work

The boots were great, although mine were not waterproof (nor water resistant), every night after working a night shift my toes would be wet if I stepped in a small puddle (hence a 4). The opening is tight (unlike other zippered boots), but are very comfortable, once broke in. I only returned due to the water issue. Other than that liked them but went with a boot name I trusted more.
I'm not quite at two months, and already both shoes have holes in the soles, and the inner liner around my heel has come apart as well, which does not feel great when i'm walking as you might imagine. I noticed the first hole a bit after a month, which was outside the return window, and i absolutwly do NOT reccomend these under and circumstances.
I can not believe the quality of these boots, great wide toe erea, high quality zipper high quality laces and the inner sole is very comfortable. What a great boot.
I work outside on my feet almost all day. My job doesn’t require steel toes and it’s a bit too tough for sneakers. I tried different boots and shoes but they always left my feet aching. Then I bought these a few months ago and I couldn’t be more impressed. My feet don’t hurt when I get home... and they can breathe too so they aren’t sweaty and smelly either. The boots are durable and feel like good quality. These are great combat boots. I highly recommend!
