I absolutely love these boots! Comfortable, seem to be well made, true to size and look great. They’re a classic. I was in the market for a nice pair of multi function boots for hiking, tactical wear and just general purpose. They definitely won’t be an every day wear for me personally (more of a converse kinda girl) but they will certainly serve their purpose when I need them.I can’t speak to the durability yet since I’ve only just received them today. They are supposed to be waterproof but I haven’t tested that claim yet. I would recommend a leather protector before wearing. Maybe even a waterproofing spray for good measure.SOO glad they’re NOT steel toe. Didn’t need or want that and it’s hard to find a quality pair that aren’t. They’re not heavy necessarily but they do have some weight to them. A steel toe would just be overkill if you’re not required to have it.As far as sizing, I typically range from an 8 to a 9 depending on the shoe and for the sake of width and high arches... if wide width is an option, I will definitely choose that over the alternative. I have high arches that actually would put me in a size 9 for regular wear but my feet are much shorter than a 9 and I absolutely swim in them.I wear a size 8 in converse, 7 in hey dude’s, and 8.5-9 in a heel. I ordered an 8.5 in these boots since there wasn’t a wide width available and they are very comfortable and I have plenty of room for thick socks and/or inserts.Hope this helps!
I was NOT expecting how comfortable these boots would feel. They are steel toes that feel like soft toe. They are lighter than your average worker boot. They are INSTANTLY comfortable. No need for breaking them in! I've had a pair of Timberland PROs before for 5 years (the mens) and they were a lot heavier and needed breaking in, but ended up being my comfiest pair of boots before they finally wittled away to the point the bottom fell apart. (Mind you, thats 5 YEARS of CONSTRUCTION work as a commercial-primary electrician). After that I switched to Thoroughgoods because the guys swore by it. I've worn those for 8 months and STILL feel like I'm breaking them in to no avail. So finally I got these and I am SO HAPPY that I want to order them in every color and would even wear them casually. THATS how comfortable they are. Im usually a size 9 in women's and that's what I ordered and they fit perfectly. Not too tight, not to loose, just comfy and lightweight for steel toe. Thoroughly impressed.
I love Timberland boots in general and I needed a new pair of boots for work so I got these through Prime Wardrobe about a month ago. I walk on concrete approximately 8 hours a day, 5 days a week (not as long as some other reviews I know). I kind of wanted to send the back at first because they were so heavy feeling compared to my previous Red Wings but after about 2-3 days I didn’t pay attention anymore. I have high arches so most shows hurt my feet after awhile but so far the support in these has been good. I will say (and it may not be the shoes but I’ve worn through 5 pairs of various steel/ safety toes shoes over the past few years without this issue. I have a callous on the balls of my feet from my arches but it never gets better or worse but just in the past month of these boots my feet for so rough, I literally could have sanded a car the other day with them, they were so bad they snagged my sheets constantly! I had to buy an electric foot sander from Amazon as well. Maybe from the friction & a half size smaller would fix that? Over all great boot would recommend if you need something safety for work but but like Lieutenant Dan said, “take care of your feet.”
I haven’t put these boots through the wringer yet, so I can’t speak to durability or anything. However, these are by far the most comfortable work boots I’ve ever worn and they needed absolutely zero break-in time.I recently went on a work trip where I had to wear these for 12+ hours a day, including on a plane while we traveled. Every single other person on the trip was miserable wearing their boots for that long, whereas my feet were feeling great! They were honestly just as comfortable (if not more comfortable) than if I had been wearing tennis shoes or something. I seriously might start wearing these boots recreationally too just because I like the look and feel so much.In general, if durability is your #1 concern when purchasing work boots, I can’t yet speak to whether or not these will be the right boots for you. However, if comfort is your #1 concern when purchasing work boots (like it is for me), I have a hard time believing you’ll find any work boots more comfortable than these. I don’t think I’ll ever buy another brand or style of work boot ever again.
Boots fit well, and are decently comfortable. Held up pretty good. I work in heavy industry so needed boots that were waterproof, which they were. Ordered in April and the top started separating from the bottom in November. Overall, a good boot, but if you work in an area with a lot of mud or other things that can eat your boots they won’t last long
This is a great work boot!!! I have country property in the NM mountains that has way too many cactus. This is the first boot I've owned that can walk through ANYTHING: water proof, sturdy, and comfortable. Really worth the price.
I bought this in the fall of 2020. It is now Jan 2024 and these babies with minimal care 4 different countries, several work sites are still protecting my feet and toes. I remember having to go half size up. I have narrow feet so I ordered the regular fit.
I purchased these over a year ago and they are such a great boot. I like how they are waterproof and many times I need to walk through tall wet grass/weeds and these keep my feet dry. The break-in period was short. They are a bit bigger than my normal shoe fit however, I wear boot socks and they fit great. My only complaint is that they have no insole support. I had to put an insert in them and now they provide a good support. They still look great after 1 year granted I don't wear them every day but even so, they look great and are wearing perfect. I highly recommend them.
