These were a pleasant surprise, comfortable, and stylish. The shoes have a memory foam inner sole which makes them a little snug but the tradeoff is more overall comfort. The bottom sole is a rubber like material that adds a nice level of bounce and comfort to the shoe, and it looks like wood so you can wear these with just about anything. These shoes honestly look much more expensive than they are and they feel like like a shoe that costs twice as much. For the money you can not go wrong. My only complaint is that the buckle presses down a little on the top of my foot but that will fade with wear and also may just be the shape of my foot. I can easily say these are worth a shot. 5/5.
Too small.
I like these shoes. They look smart. They fit as expected, but like new shoes, they need some breaking in. The stitching construction is good and I believe this should hold up well with weekly usage.
My husband wears a 10.5, and after reading that these may run small, I bought a size 11 for him. I'm glad I did because the 11 fits like a 10.5 would. Fairly comfortable, about as comfortable as you'd expect dress shoes to be. Not bad quality, and you really can't go wrong with the current price on these shoes.
I got these for my husband. They are nice looking shoes, seem to be well made. They are almost a great replacement for another nice pair of shoes he had that unfortunately were used by one of our cats as a scratching post. My husband usually wears a size 10, which is what I ordered. They were a bit snug when he tried them on, and that was without any socks on. Hopefully they will stretch out or these will not be comfortable for walking.
Fitment is as expected for this shape of shoe, tends to be more on the narrow side. The color is fantastic. The highly polished finished leather look is appropriate for this type of material (engineered leather), which can tend to be more shiny and plasticy and less natural looking. They are very comfortable to stand and do light walking in. Unfortunately the engineered leather started to have an unnatural looking crease on my first wear. The engineered leather does not, in this case, develop natural looking lines but hard creases instead. This does not bode well for longevity. I think that, even at a low price point, there are better options.
This pair of Van Heusen Men’s shoes is great! Here is my review to sum it up!- Fits perfectly.- Comfortable.- Easy to clean.- Durable.- Goes great with many outfits.- Provides great support.- Easy to slide on/off.- Made of engineered leather.- Great color.- Simple design.- Lightweight.- Flexible.Overall, these shoes are really practical and great for making a good first impression!
I remember a day when the Van Heusen brand meant you were getting your money's worth. Not so anymore. My husband found that the upper on one shoe appeared to just be painted plastic because the "paint" of the leather did not meet at the edge of the "sole", leaving white splotches instead of a smooth Cognac color that would be there if made of leather. The "leather" also buckled up in a strange fashion above the instep after first trying the shoe on just one foot. A good shoe would not do that. After two attempts to find an acceptable product in the Van Heusen line, we give up.
