Comfortable like slippers. Can’t get over how comfy they are. They’re not just for comfort they are also performance. Surprisingly they’re more sturdy than they seem which is good. I was afraid they would feel sloppy since they’re weightless like a feather.Been using them for rugged trails almost every day. They’re probably not designed for such activity but I must say they are handling it quite well! Grip well on all surfaces: Boulders, rocks, pebbles, sand, fallen trees, wood chips, dirt, grass, wet grass, etc.As for style they are somewhat conservative which is what I wanted.Laces and tongue are excellent.Size 10.5 extra wide. Fit perfectly.Price is reasonably especially for a shoe of this nature that comes in a wide model.Already thinking I’ll need another pair of this exact same model when it’s time to replace them. Super content with them. No regrets whatsoever. Hope this review helps.
I bought this shoe on deep discount and they’re very comfortable and great for walking. (I’m not a runner so I can’t comment if they provide enough support for that.). I also like the mesh which helps to keep your feet cool and they fit exactly as expected. If you’re not choosy about what color keep an eye out for certain colors that go on deep discount. That’s what I did and I ended up buying a few pairs of dark gray and also dark blue. I’m not sure why one color would be so much cheaper than another … maybe they built too many? Anyway I highly recommend these shoes.
I had gotten the black on black versions of gel contend 6 and was very happy with them. They were cushy, very much so and made for wide Flat feet with low arches or no arches.. if you walk on the Outer edges and land that way, these are a good fit to help keep ur foot from rolling Outward... However, when my black pair started wearing out, I tried to get another set, couldnt find this version in black so I chose white soled version with green highlights...These shoes feel entirely different becuz the rubber used in the sole is no longer cushy, its very firm...this makes, walking unconfortable and jogging painful as there is little to no give or bounce or absorbtion of shock... seems the company changed the rubber sole composition even though the version number is the same.. the gel contend 7 has always been firmer, black or not ,its a firmer shoe.. Now it seems the gel contend 6 is being made similiarly with the exception of the black on black version... why do companys do this?
I suffer from painful neuropathy, but these are so comfortable I wear them all the time not just for walking.
Wow.. So the hardest part for me in finding a shoe is size (I wear a 14) and have wide feet too. So finding a shoe that actually fits me comfortably is extremely rare. I had initially bought a pair of this at a local Big 5. I instantly fell in love with them. Super nice fit, feels like I'm walking on a stiff mattress. I know they're for running but they're prefect for my work too (shipping & rec) since I'm on my feet a lot of the day. I bought the second which I'm reviewing that I bought on Amazon but just in a different color. I'm seeing people are having problems with wear up near the top front. Agreeably it is a little thin but it feels great because it allows some really good ventilation and breathing room in your foot. Great buy!
I have always worn ASICS Gel Ventures in model 5, 6, and 7 in an extra wide width.They are all very similar giving you great support and strong wearIn fact over the past 2 years I purchased as many as I could in XW since they are no longer manufactured .Well the depletion of supply has finally caught up with me and I have been forced to go to a different model/style. So I tried this lighter model and they are surprisingly good!If you require ASICS in XW definitely give them a try. I think you will be happy!!
I'm pleased. They fit perfectly. They look really nice and I like the colors of the red and gray. Not as cushioned as my last pair of ASICS though
These shoes are so comfortable for running or walking. I specifically bought these for a trip where I would be on my feet for hours and walking miles and they never let me down and I still use them to this day without and tears or holes. Such a good sneaker and I will only buy these in the future, and other shoe feels so hard when walking now.
