Shoes are all different. So far Asics work best for my wide and somewhat warm feet. They fit much better and seem more breathable over other brands I've tried.Normally I would have gone to a store for purchase as almost every style of shoe feels and sizes differently. Since Amazon had free return policy I gave the online purchase a shot. It took a few returns until I was able to find the perfect fit. Thanks.Other plus is selection. Amazon had way more variety than any sports store I could have gone to. I was able to narrow down what was in stock by my specific size needs. Thanks again.
These shoes get weirdly good reviews. As far as Asics go, they are pretty middle or low end shoes. A shoe like their Gel Nimbus is vastly better in every way (twice the price). I got them for work shoes… they are not good or terrible. I would never ever wear them as running shoes.
I wear a men’s size 15-16 so it’s hard to find any other brand in my size. I’ve worn ASICS shoes for years but I previously had this version in black and white and I LOVED those shoes. But, I wore them out and they eventually had gotten some holes after about 4 years. These replaced them. Nothing different except the color scheme. I really wanted the black and white but I couldn’t find them in my size so I had to settle with these. Aside from that, they’re great shoes. They’re very comfortable, not too stiff but not too flimsy, high quality materials, and they look nice. I can’t complain. All I can do is recommend you buy them, maybe 2 pair. You won’t regret it.
I gave it four stars because they are wide and comfortable allows your toes to splay naturally but the mesh top material will wear out within a few months of daily usage. I've just been replacing them as needed because I do like them. If they made them with cordura or something similar that lasted and added the honeycomb gel orthotic inserts they would probably be my perfect shoe and I'd pay more for them.
When you find a sneaker make you love, you never think twice. I love the ASICS gel-flux. No other shoe will do.
