ASICS Men's Gel-Nimbus 24 Running Shoes, 8, Sheet Rock/Shocking Orange

i had the nimbus 17, two pairs of the 22, the gel 360, and now the 24. while the 360's were the most expensive out of them, they were also the least comfortable out of all of them. the 17s felt like walking on clouds but the heel support area did not feel like a good fit, i had to step on one side of them before putting them on so they can feel a bit more tolerable. the 22's i liked, but the mesh portion tears quite easily. the biggest problem with buying online shoes is not knowing if they will fit to where you are comfortable with them. i am extremely surprise the 24s fit just right, right out of the box. i can see where some reviewers said it did not feel wide enough for them but for me it was just right since the 22s felt a little wider. back to the 24s. well the inserts felt like they were undulated instead of just flat which is a good thing. they are cushion soft, snug, and very light as well. also i like the tongue portion of the 24's, they seem to add a snugger fit without having to tight the laces so tight that it hurts your feet. these 24s just fit right all around for me. i'm impressed asics.edit: 4/14/2023 the feel, fit, comfort are so nice that i bought another pair and thinking of getting a third. i do not even feel like i need to take them off even after having them on for 9 plus hours. seems asics make a new version and once that version is gone (by shoe size) then its gone and i dont want to take a chance on having to wait for another version that is equally good or better. i have 2 of these and 1 pair of gel 360s which are in good condition but are not comfortable like the 24s. most likely will get another pair that i can rotate them to give them longevity.edit: 21 april 23. so i bought 3 of these 24 series so far but i noticed something about the 3rd shoe. it is the same 24 nimbus series but in the black/gun metal color but there is something different about it. the other ones are in a safety yellow/black and light steel/white. the yellow/black and light steel/white fit identically and just perfect (for my feet). however the black/gun metal colored shoe feels like it is missing an extra layer of cushioning. i have extremely sensitive feet so i can tell the difference. the shoe still fits nice and comfy, but not as cushiony as the yellow/black and light steel/white colored shoes. i would rate the black/gun metal a 4.5 stars while i rate the yellow/black and light steel/white a perfect 5 stars. it just seems odd to me that these are supposed to be identical shoes (aside from color) but there is a difference in cushion depending on the color. i will probably buy a 4th pair because this 24 gel nimbus series make my feet feel so good. i dont want to risk them running out of my size while they work on their next series and it may not fit like these. so i could rotate through them evenly and they will last for years.Bought my 4th pair the cherry tomato color. It fits and feels identical to the bright green and steel white/blue. So I'm very happy with my purchases. Walking on clouds.

Nice style and colors .... Cushioning is right amount ... good at isolating impact while still providing stability and forward momentum... At First I was concerned about the fit .. this shoe is more narrow with in some places vs my other running shoes .. however overtime they seamed to have broken in and a bit more comfortable .. and I have gotten more used to these .. still a litle snug but not too tight ... I normally get standard with by the way .... So I recommend this shoe but if you have wide feet a wide version is available ... however I kept this standrd with shoe

Price, quality, delivery.

First off, I would still buy these shoes again. I have been wearing the Gel Nimbus model of running shoe for over a decade. They are comfortable (if you get the tongue seated well) and they help prevent chronic knee pain for me after years/miles of running/rucking in the Army. However, I want to talk about the one thing that annoys me with this version of the Gel Nimbus. The tongue. It is very thin, and has a tendency to bunch up deep in the shoe, near the first joint of your big toe. You can pull on the tongue and get these little folds or bunches straightened out, but if you don't, they aggravate the top of your foot to no end. This happened several times before I realized what was happening (the tongue really is thin so it wasn't obvious right off). Since I have become more aware of this issue, it hasn't been as big of a problem, but I still have to fiddle with the tongue for a bit each time I put the shoe on, and that is annoying. So bottom line, a little annoying to put on correctly, but once on, they are great....and the tongue stays put.

I love ASICS brand shoes and have never owned a true pair of “running” shoes, these gave me a whole new understanding of the difference a running shoe gives you. Super comfortable, bouncy, fit perfect to my size (men’s 11) and have been getting better and better as I wear them. Got them on sale and very happy with my purchase!

I purchased this for my husband. He said that is the most comfortable shoes he ever had. He has issues with his knees but whit this shoes he has been running without any complaints. You should definitely consider buying this.

I have been wearing ASICS nimbus since 2014. Each year they change so if you find a specific series ie 24 for me, get a few pairs esp at this price. I ordered 1 to try ended up w/ 3 pairs. Order 1/2 size longer than you typically wear as they typically run short. Additionally they have always run narrow in toe box. I have a C width foot for men (D is considered normal). So if you have a wide foot try another brand. However if you try them you will be impressed with the cushioning throughout the shoe. Really helps w/ shin splints in my experience.

Hands down the way to go . I'm 40 years old and have had a lot of shoes at a lot of price points . I'm on my feet all day , these are great and you get what you pay for . Good for about 6 months or less as a work shoe . Not because they fall apart but because I need to keep my feet in good shape . Again you get what you pay for and this is a brand and product I'd pay for .
