Ok, so after reading a handful of these reviews I want to touch on some. Yes the shoes are a little heavier, I personally picked them up and though "oh these have some nice weight to them" rather than thinking they were heavy. They feel solid in a good way.There are some small imperfections in the gel sole, it has to be something about the way it's manufactured. It is noticeable if I hold the shoe up to my face and look, but even if I am sitting down and looking down at my feet I can't see the imperfections unless I am looking for them.I have had no issues with the tongue or with the material, on the contrary I actually particularly like both.I am very fond of this shoe, comfortable, good arch support, looks good, walks good, runs good, sturdy yet flexible. I can't speak on long term durability because I've only had them about a month. Will return and edit if any issues. Overall very good shoe
I am healing from a back injury and found these shoes in the store for a much higher price. These are my first pair of Asics so I have nothing to compare it to other than all my other tennis shoes. These are absolutely the best shoes in regards to comfort for me. I walk 10,000 steps or more every day and I had Adidas and New Balance shoes that could not hold up to that in regards to support. I am anxious to see how long these last as they are currently the best feeling shoes that I have ever put on. So comfortable in fact that my hubby also bought a pair and he is in love with them also. I wear a 10.5 mens and he wears a 13 mens. these were true to size and the quality appears to be on point. They also arrived at our home with in a very short amount of time from placing the order. We are very satisfied.
Probably the best shoes for gym workouts I've ever had, really comfortable and stable and feel somewhat like a hybrid of running shoe and cross trainer. But I personally wouldn't use and don't like them for running for pretty much the same reason I think they're great for gym workouts.They're kind of flat and, while very comfortable, don't have the type of cushioning/bounce that one might typically associate with a running shoe. That makes them really stable and gives a nice platform for lifting and other forms of weight/resistance training, but the focus isn't on cushioning the force of landing and propelling the foot forward like most running shoes, which makes it a bit hard on the knees and shins for my liking when it comes to running.
For the last six years ,i have been wearing only ASICS for athletics .. . this pair is not a pair i use for running or pickleball. They are just so comfortable for walking, plus , i got the grey-black and white ones which really look cool with jeans. I have never had any problem with any asics shoe, and this one is so comfortable. I wear them to the gym usually. I would buy them again in a heartbeat. just love the way they feel..

Love these shoes. They are a little heavier than your normal running shoe but you can’t tell when you’re wearing them.Feel like I’m walking on clouds. Trying to talk my wife into a pair of the Gel-Quantum Infinity 1 or 2. She doesn’t really like the looks, but if she tried them, especially with her achy feet, I think she would love them.To be continued...
Overall the shoe is comfortable and fits well, but it has two major flaws that caused me to send it back. The type of rubber used on the sole is super squeaky when walking on certain types of floors like hardwood. Also, the tongue is a strangely shaped piece of leather with no cushion which digs into your leg while you're walking. Not sure who thought that was a good design, but they must not have tested it out on enough people I couldn't walk more than a few paces without it feeling uncomfortable, not sure how anyone could stand to run long distances in these things. Back they go.
Fits like a glove. The design is something sci-fi. Love them might wait till the full black shoe goes on sale.
