These run a bit small. I originally bought 8.5 W in gray/pink and it was too short. I returned them and bought 9W and it fits perfectly. The color is as pictured. I also got arch support memory foam liners since I have a high arch.

As a hospital professional, I am on my feet most of the day. Finding quality footwear is like searching for a needle in a haystack. These gems have excellent support, cushioning insoles, and amazing traction. The color is a true black and they are incredibly easy to put on and remove. The only downside is the toe box. I ordered a size 8 wide. It's not wide. My toes do get cramped after a few hours. It can become quite uncomfortable. However, the other benefits of the shoes overshadow this design issue. I would absolutely recommend these shoes to anyone who doesn't need a wide toe box. Durable, easy to clean, odor resistant, water resistant, and versatile (not rigid). Super lightweight.

I suffer from knee and back pain. These sneakers can be used for pain relief. I always used the gel nimbus product for support ( I’m not a runner )I liked the price of these contend 7’s and have purchased 6 in total over the past few years. The rim of back top may be a bit stiff initially but never uncomfortable. No need to break them in. Comfy from 1st wear…incredible support. inloosed laces closest to toe area and instep ( I have wide feet) I tighten laces when tying.I size up 1/2 sizeI need to edit this with more information.I just saw a foot doctor for a badly irritated heel. actually the back of my heel.Upon examining my heel as well as my asicshe pointed out the back of the sneaker is made of plastic. ( material over hard plastic which will never be broken in.so the support the sneaker gave me in my arch is true but even this wide shoe pinched the back of my heel pretty badly … sorry to say these two pair I recently purchased are going back.4 days in the gel nimbus and i’m almost healed.

I am on my 4th pair of the Asics gel-contend 7 running shoe. I have a high arch and speed walk about 30-35 miles/week. For over a decade I wore Brooks Ghost shoes and with a change around Ghost 13 I could no longer wear them without getting heel blisters. It forced me to find this shoe which is a lot less expensive:) I do wish the bottom didn't wear out as fast. I have to replace about every 6 months, however, I noticed that with the more recent Brooks shoes also. Although with the recent pairs, my tween girls have still worn my retired shoes since they don't need the same support and besides the bottoms they still look great. In October 23 I purchased the gel-contend 8. I returned them and got the gel-contend 7 because I didn't feel like it had as much arch support and the heel height seemed shorter. The 8 was not as comfortable as the 7. I also have bunions that make my foot a little wider, but not wide enough for a wide version of shoes and I think these fit well (so maybe not the best shoe for someone with narrow feet). I usually wear a size 8 and from the reviews I ordered and 8.5 and it fit perfectly.

This is the second pair I purchased. First pair was in the grey color, which I loved. They run small so I ordered this in a 9 when I usually do 8 1/2. Great fit. Very comfortable right out of the box. Ordered black as they were all out of the grey in a 9. Nice shoe.

Love these shoes! Love the color. They do run small. I'm a pretty true size 8 and I had to send them back and order an 8 1/2.

Well made, long lasting. Have bought this shoe a number of times - size 6.5 and have found the length to be on the short side but not quite enough to have gone up in size until this pair. Figured I would try a size 7 and see how they do. They are more comfortable - but a tad too long. I’ve kept them and will continue to ware them. So far, the value (price, quality, overall comfort) has me staying with this shoe despite having the fit a tad off for me. Not sure I’ll stick with them next time.
