These classic sneakers fit perfectly I’m in my feet 12-13 hours and no pain in my feet or back!
I bought this shoe for the comfort and support I need for work. I do about 10,000 steps a day and this shoe has offered great arch support and it's comfortable. It fits well and isn't too loose or wide leaving my feet sliding around. I take a size regular 9.5 and these fit great.
Great fit and very comfortable. Took a little while to break in. I have insanely flat feet and whenever I’ve tried to use inserts to correct overpronation the pain has been to intense to continue to use them. These shoes are immediately comfortable in the padding but I did experience a period of a few weeks where doing activities in them caused initial discomfort in my feet and knees as I’m so NOT used to a normal amount of probation. After a few weeks I can do a bunch of new exercises I could before like run in place, boxing drills and lots of squatting exercises that used to cause me pain.I recommend these shoes but give them a generous breaking in period IF you have serious overpronation in order to get used to the correction in not engaging in dysfunction. Like a few weeks of wearing them for short periods at a time.
I love the GT 1000s! I have a few of this years model and this one happened to be my favorite. The gray is dark enough that it doesn’t show dirt as easily as you would think. I love the arch support and cushion on the bottom of the shoe. The ankle support is cushiony as well. I have an extremely high arch (pea cauvus) and this helps provide so much pain relief. I have a few pairs I wear to work and then some for home. ASICS has pretty good colors and styles too!
My twin teenage girls wear these for track / cross country training. They average about 40 miles a week on them in cross country season and close to 30 in track season. The shoes do well for the most part however we are starting to see that the top of the shoe above the small toe wears through at about the fifth month. We typically get a new pair for each season.They are comfortable, stable, lightweight, and provide enough traction to not be slipping and sliding on dirt trails even with some pretty steep hills they climb or descend.We will likely try keytano’s on the next purchase due to the toe issue on these, which we did not see on the 8’s
These shoes have been amazing, I am a big fan of brooks adrenaline GTS, but I’ve not been liking there new designs “as much” I am 5’5 135 and very athletic/ workout twice a day, and work on my feet everyday, these shoes have been amazing, I’m not having achy feet at the end of my long days, these are extremely supportive for my over pronation on my left foot, i have a normal arch in my foot and these feel very stable when I’m running and it has such a light pillowy ride, I am very impressed with this ASICS style, it’s not heavy or Clunky.The Heel support is also really good for me for stability when training with heavy weights and movements. Definitely a new Pep&Bounce to my step. I will be stock-piling these shoes already bought an other pair and probably a 3rd. It’s nice to finally find a shoe I am happy with that supports my active lifestyle and work flow. The upper part of the toes sole has plenty of room, I ordered my normal size which is a size 7 and I found I actually prefer that little wiggle room for the activity that I am doing, nothing feels scrunched or too tight it’s perfect for my feet/toes. That about sums it up I am very happy with these.
I returned these GT-1000 running shoes, because they are not true to size. I wear a size 7 1/5 shoe, but always by size 8 when I buy Asics running shoes so I have room or an insert and socks. I got the shoes on my feet, but they were so tight they were really uncomfortable, and the laces were barely long enough to tie. As much as I liked them, I had to return them.
Bought these after realizing that the current year's model was $100 in the store. Had my 13 year old try them on, and she immediately loved the way they felt and went for a run. Can't answer as to long term yet, but so far so good. I ordered the size 9 W, since that is what fit her in the store with the more expensive current year model. The sneaker itself just says 9 inside the tongue, so I don't know if it's actually a wide, but it fits well in any case.
