Brooks Men's Cascadia 14, Grey/Navy, 9 D

I have had these shoes for a week now and I absolutely love them. I have used them daily on trails ranging from 3-5 miles and my feet feel great. They are fairly lightweight, supportive and give you a great feel (wish more shoes offered a wide size). The grip is also a strong point and is more than enough for anything I would use them for. Like I said I have only had these a week so I cannot comment on the longevity of the shoes, but they seem very well constructed so I'm sure that won't be much of an issue. All in all I think these are a great value for such a good shoe.

I was buying Brooks Adrenaline running shoes for walking (3 miles per day) on coarse pavement with hills and was wearing out the shoes in 3.5 months. I decided to switch to a more rugged shoe to make them last longer. I've had the Cascadias for two weeks, and I think they will last longer, but they certainly don't provide the cushioning as the Adrenaline. They are not bad and are very sturdy. I typically by 10 EEEE, but I bought these 10 EE because they were shown as "wide". They are not tight, but if available, I will buy 10 EEEE next time.

I walk 120-200 miles a week. I've rarely had bad experience with brooks. That said these are very nice. Two oddities though, the fabric feels a little thin/airy compared to my others, and the bottom of the shoes came with some substance on them that made them squeak. The squeaking went away after about 40 miles of use.One thing I like is the tread is slightly pointed/angled, which makes for a good grip.

I have been running in the Brooks Cascadie for a number of years, now. For my previous shoe purchase however, I decided to try a different brand. What a mistake! I did a run in the Cascadia soon after receiving them, and it was like a breath of fresh air. I highly recommend these shoes. Well made, comfortable and durable.

I love Brooks shoes for their comfort and arch support. These Cascadia 14 shoes are no exception. With aggressive lugs and solid but lightweight construction they allow me to make short work of the trails I run. Traction has not been an issue either, even as I run over wet rocks and downhill over leaves. I highly recommend these shoes for forest trail running!

I've had 3 Men's Cascadia shoes and I'm hard on them, I wear them to work all day, out on errands, and walking/hiking. I was disappointed after my first pair wore through the toe area after 9 months. When I got my last pair (the black/orange pictured), I knew they were going to last longer because there is the protective layer over the top of the toes. Indeed, these lasted about 14 months. I guess I wasn't paying attention to anything other than price when I got this latest pair, they fit small/pinch my right foot's big toe, and they have NO protection over the front of the toe it's just the mesh.I'm not too hard on my shoes myself but as a vet I do have animals stepping on my feet all day, pet pot belly pigs nibbling/rooting around them, and litters of puppies attacking them. But it all comes down to the front toe fabric wearing through way before the shoe has aged or tread has worn significantly. I electrical taped the toe of the black/orange ones and wore them another year but I definitely feel I down-graded with these Cascadia 14s. Also, I am a 6 ft female who wears 7.5 female size and have worn boy's or men's 6.5 -7s in Brooks for over 10 years and this is the first size 7 that didn't fit in the toe. I have narrow feet, high arches, my second toe is slightly longer than my big toe, and the support of these shoes is great but the fit and composition are not really what I'd call durable for trail or my life.
