Brooks Men's Ghost 14 Neutral Running Shoe - Green Gecko/Blue/Black - 11.5 Medium

I have been on a fitness journey and walking several miles almost every day. My feet were killing me so I asked friends for recommendations. Brooks was #1! I tried cheaper Brooks models but there was zero comparison to the Ghost. They make walking a lot easier and I can last longer. They are extremely comfortable. The toe box does not fit tight and the drop is natural. This color is beautifully vivid and vibrant.I wear a womans size 12 (sometimes 12W). The mens 11.5 fits me perfectly.I loved my Brooks Ghost so much that I just bought a new pair of Ghost 15 on sale! I would HIGHLY recommend that you stop looking and buy these. Just keep an eye on sales!

This is my first pair of Brooks running shoes, but I'm not a runner but rather do 3+ mile daily power walks, so need similar support I believe. Over the years I've used several of the top brands and over time and with their constant changes to models, I had to move from brand to brand. Hopefully I'll be able to stay with Brooks for a long while since the Ghost 14 is the best overall running shoe I've owned in many, many years.There is little I can find to fault. First, they are very lightweight at just 13.02 oz per shoe and that is after adding Sof Sole Insoles, because for me at least, NOBODY makes even a marginally acceptable insole. And Brooks is no exception. At this weight, I was concerned they would not provide adequate support, but they are really well designed and definitely do. I land on my heel more and there is great cushioning in the heel and in fact they actually have spring action to them. They also transfer the shock very effectively so there is no stress on my ankles or other part of the foot. The arch is fairly neutral and there is good cushioning in the toe joint area as well. And the huge plus is that the toe box is sufficiently wide so that my toes are never cramped, and this is huge. Many shoes seem to slim that area down too much for me.I wear a 12 D and I bought the 12 standard and they fit perfectly. I'm not a shoe engineer, but it seems Brooks placed the design emphasis on the most important areas and that is the shoe bottom, tread and cushioning. They are not designed for lateral support, but I've never had any issues when I step off pavement or trail onto grass or other surfaces as I sometimes have with other shoes.And there is certainly no shortage of colors with the Ghost. Overall a great shoe, and if it lasts 350-400 miles, I'll be happier still. I highly recommend.

I use them for outdoor runs on different terrains, treadmill workouts at the gym, and even casual wear. They're practical for various activities.The Amazon Prime Day deal made an extra pair a no-brainer. If you're looking for a reliable and reasonably priced running shoe that delivers on comfort and performance, I highly recommend giving the Ghost 14 a try (until they force you into the 15s). It's a solid choice, no cheesy hype needed. Five stars, no doubt!

Nothing to dislike. Shoes fit great and feel great when walking and running.

First thing is, I like them. I got sick of wearing "Dad" shoes everywhere (I'm 52 yrs old), so I splurged on these after hearing all the hype, plus, they were on sale. Although I do have some minor foot problems, I mainly bought these for aesthetics and casual wear.. They do seem comfortable, but dont seem very durable and get dirty very easily. The first time I wore them was to a small party. When I got home, there were dirty scuffs all over them. It looked like I was in a stapede. The tops remind me of a sock-type material, although very light and breathable, seems to stain quite easily. I would recommend before you wear them, spray with a silicone protectant or but a dark color. However, the sole and shoes in general seem very well made. Are they better than my Dad shoes? I dont know... They look better but also cost much more. Are they worth their price? Only time will tell.....Thanks!
