Read numerous reviews before buying these. I am a forefoot striker and have had a number of foot issues since turning 40. Brooks Ghost were my last pair of running shoes and they are more neutral foot strike and cushion so not much improvement in my toe box pain level.I was suspicious of the fit and feel after receiving them. The tongue is silly. It is not a full tongue, it is sewn in at the very top leaving little room to put your foot in. I have narrow feet with high arches so it hasn't been an issue... ever... until now. Once you do get the tongue pushed back into the shoe and flat it is barely noticeable. What IS noticeable immediately is the rear heel cup. Many reviewers noted the tight heel cup and the odd placement of the band around your upper Achilles area. It is lower than most shoes but so tight that it rubs with every movement.I have run for a long time and typical first 2 or 3 runs in a shoe result in some discomfort and blisters. If you are not prepared for this then Levitate will likely get bad reviews. I was prepared and I can tell you the tightness feels great and the "heat" from the contact point goes away after a couple runs. The best part is that the Levitate actually allows me to run more than 1x per week now. The forefoot cushion is excellent. The rigidity of the spine is enough to prevent arch strain, which forefoot runners are very familiar with. Overall this is a great shoe for forefoot strikers with the understanding that you need to break them in.Would be great if there were some more interesting colors and patterns available.
I love these shoes for work. The wear and tear on the soles of my shoes at work are harsh. I switched from regular running shoes to trail running shoes because the soles are typically more durable. These are durable and just as comfortable as a regular tennis shoe. I will continue to buy theses!
I didn't think i would be able to get these shoes on when i received them. the tongue is kinda weird/not a full tongue. After i unlaced them, and DID get them on, they stretched to fit my foot. I think these may be the most comfortable shoes i have ever owned! They weigh almost nothing. It's a Brooks shoe, so you already know the quality is there. VERY HAPPY w/these shoes!
These are so comfortable but run a half size small. I wear a womens size 11 and often get mens tennis shoes since they’re easier to find. I have a very normal foot and these were about a half a size too small for me. If you have a wide foot I’d recommend sizing up as my foot is narrow and there’s not a lot of extra room on the sides. They are very comfortable and I’ll be getting my normal size after I return the smaller pair.
Great running shoes
Everyone in my family has converted to Brooks running shoes for fit, feel, and support. Normally, they cost about $150, but we're less than $100 here.
i had to send these back. they looked cool. they were high quality/ didn’t feel cheap. however they didn’t fit my feet great. i have middle of the road feet- not super slender but also not fred flinstone fat and wide either. i’m 6’3 230lbs and wear a 12.5. they just felt like my sole was a few mm too wide for the footbed of the this shoe which caused pressure on the lateral aspect of my left foot. they looked good. also the tongue was strange. it was oversized and floppy- like soccer shoes if you’ve ever worn cleats. these shoes have a tongue like that that extends up your ankle a bit. kinda weird. had they fit i would’ve stuck with them regardless.
Love these sneakers and they are great for all around use
