I have large, wide, flat feet. I have had plantar fasciitis and related foot problems in the past.Previously I had used Brooks Addition shoes with great success. They supported by feet well and really helped with some of the foot problems I had. I've only worn Brooks for many years.Well Brooks is pretty expensive, so I thought I'd give these a try. First thing - the size is large compared to Brooks. I had a brooks 15 which fit me well and supported my feet well. The fitville 15 and 14 were both like gigantic boats. My size with them was 13. That's not a criticism, just a size difference.They felt ok wearing them around the house indoors. I did notice the lack of support right away, but thought maybe it'll be ok. Well after wearing these shoes outside for about 2 hours with mild walking my feet were starting to hurt. A real pain in and around the ankle.I don't know what the explanation is - I am not a foot or shoe expert. They kind of "slide" down the back and sides of my feet when I walk. I thought that might be because the size was wrong, but no, 13 is the right size for me with these shoes. With the Brooks shoes this did not happen - the shoe stuck to my feet when walking and running.It's a real disappointment. I'll use these sneakers around the house for gardening and mowing the lawn, but I can't use them for walking anywhere and certainly not for running.
Was an excellent fit, and had good arch support, but the overall cushion of shoes was not great for plus sized weight. Felt like I was walking barefoot with a slight arch support. Still, very roomy, lots of toe space, and good arch. Just couldn't support me (300lb).
My husband is a 295lb bodybuilder and his feel are his nemesis. I have tried the top brand shoes for comfort in regards to “bad” feet. He was unsure at first because nothing helps alleviate the pain. He was so surprised how good his feet felt wearing these. They are an absolute must for those with foot issues.
