This is my 12th pair of Mizuno Men's running shoes. Before various foot and leg surgeries, I ran in Mizunos, but now I can no longer run; however, I can walk and exercise (and hike -- just with different shoes). I graduated from Sky Wave 4 and bought two pair of the Sky Wave 5s to use after hip replacement surgery. I found that my older shoes were not supportive enough (running shoes of any kind lose their support as mileage increases). In fact I couldn't get a block down the street with my old shoes and new hip. I also bought a pair of Sky Wave 6s and compared it to the 5. For me, the 5 was just a tad more comfortable for my situation. I am 6 months into my new set of Mizuno Sky Wave 5's and 6's. They still feel like new. I have a fairly narrow foot except for the toe box, and these grip my heel and snug down nicely. The toe box is roomy enough for my bunion. I do not use the very top lace eyelet which for me is too restrictive. Even at that the shoes give me a level heel-toe stride, and do not ride up. I live in these!

The style and comfort Shoe reputation
I've been running in Mizunos for years so I may be a bit biased however I found nothing works better for me when it comes to an everyday trainer I can abuse and put a lot of miles on in many different conditions. I am a pretty avid runner (20-40mi per week) for over 13yrs. I would say Mizunos don't really excel in any one area but I love they're versatility and I can depend on them whether it's running on a treadmill, the road, or light trails and grass. These are also good if I'm doing something like running with weight (plate carrier) as they are firm and very stable. Something I wouldn't do with most other running shoes. Heel cup and foot grip are perfect everytime which is actually the one particular area where I feel Mizunos do excel. For the price I really don't think you can do better. Get these and pair them with a lighter and faster "race day" shoe and this will take care of most people's running needs.Pros:- Durable quality build/ stable underfoot- Consistent heel cup and foot clampdown- Treadmill, road, or light off road- Great valueCons- Heavier/ not a speed shoe- Doesn't excel in any area- Aesthetically average
ON TIME DELIVERY
Inside of the back heel wore down to the foam on both shoes within weeks. Had them repaired.
Great shoes. I got the 11.5 wide, and the fit is tremendous. Very high quality material, comfortable durable sole. Made by a company that is not woke, which is important to me.
Very comfortable
