Looks great, super comfortable. I got the wide and they fit nicely. Soft but not too soft sole. Got them for walking mostly. Recommended.
By far the best "shoe" for my work. I am on my feet for at least 6 hours everyday at work and walk approximately 6-7 miles in that time. These shoes have been a game changer for me.They have such a soft step and there is virtually no pain to the hips and knees after being on my feet for extended periods of time.I do wish New Balance would make this shoe in a 4X wide. But all things being equal, the overall comfort completely outweighs the minor tightness on the sides.I would highly recommend this shoe to anyone that has to be on their feet and moving all day long.
Very well made and comfortable for my normal 15W left foot. Definitely merits 5 stars. BUT why 4? Because of metatarsalgia on my right foot, they are pure unadulterated torture. If you examine the shoe, the removable inner sole is padded, but thin and stiff (no doubt as a complement to the underlying plate) sitting on a hard surface which is covering a padded but stiff TPU plate (a cheaper alternative to a flexible carbon fiber one). The plate seems to end at the forefoot where you would expect some comfort, which it definitely did not deliver for me. If you in fact need underfoot padding, choose Fresh Foam, or another well padded style in another brand. Compared to these, my 877 walker, by no means super padded, but well designed for walking with a compromised foot, is pure heaven. I can’t imagine anyone with plantar fasciitis or metatarsalgia finding this shoe acceptable unless with an orthotic, which BTW on the plus side, would accommodate due to plenty of room.
Perfect fit
It is a very beautiful shoe. The right shoe fit perfectly Unfortunately, not the left.When I had both shoes on, I noticed the left shoe, after tightening the shoe, there were wrinkles in the top surface near the toes of the left, but not the right shoe.Both shoes were comfortable and felt secure without being overly tight. I usually wear a medium or narrow shoe.Bad luck. I really liked the look and feel, but the width of the left was off.
I purchased these for my husband ahead of a Disney trip knowing he'd be walking lots. He did not break them in and said these shoes were amazing for a week's worth of walking at the parks. No blisters or rubbing. Will definitely buy again.
The last pair of New Balance running shoes I bought were awful and I swore to never again buy another New Balance shoe again. I'm glad I broke my promise. These are the best running shoe I have ever worn.
