I’m an avid walker/jogger. Got these after wearing brooks and I’m hooked. Super comfortable when doing long trails on asphalt and off road. Definitely buying these again.
Roomy and moderately cushioned, comfortable for short or long runs on non-technical trails. Too wide for my feet, so I don't feel connected when running over technical terrain. It isn't so much the width of the shoe as an inability to get a good lockdown with the quick lace system. It is hard to get tight over the mid and fore foot, and the stow pouch for the laces is too low, so it is a struggle to get them tucked away without loosening them. Outsole grip is good, so the shoe sticks, but my foot slides in the shoe. A good shoe for some kinds of runs, but a little limited. Definitely sticking with my Hoka SG or Evo SG (the BEST) for most conditions.
If only they were designed to fit normal sized feet!!! I'm an adult male that normally wears a size 11 or 11.5 depending on the shoe. These were actually a tad long in the 11.5 due to how pointy they are in the toes (I would have been fine with a 11 length, in theory.) That said, they seemed to be the width of a child's shoe!! I had to cram my foot into them and they would have cut off my circulation in a matter of minutes. Unbelievably narrow on the sides and tight on top of the foot!!! To put it in perspective, any Adidas, New Balance or Nike shoe will normally fit even if they were a standard size. Please, for the love of feet everywhere, bring normal sized people in to have them design the shoe around the feet.
Absolutely 💯 of a product for both the trails and some hard roads. No regrets in investing in this shoe. Will be buying another when this one reaches retirement.
Bought these Ultra Glides originally to mix in with the Salomon Sense Ride trail running shoes for Ragnar trail relay races and other ultra races. I needed light shoes, with some support to go longer legs of the races. These shoes are perfect for long trail miles. They are good enough for technical sections, but light and supportive enough to go 7-13 miles on trails. The Sense Ride shoes are great, but they don't breath as well and do not feel as light. I never noticed I was wearing these, and never thought about my feet during these legs of the races, which is a great sign. I am buying another pair before they disappear. (I have normal width feet and wear a size 12. The sizing is good).
Great all around shoe, it’s true the miles just melt away. Comfortable from start to finish.
