Breaking in my new shoes for work as a nurse on my feet all day, to wearing for long walks in Ireland 🇮🇪 in September! Great fit, and comfort at the onset.
I've owned Saucony Excursions for years and love them. This pair was advertised as new, so I purchased them with the expectation that they'd be unused, yet they arrived with worn treads and ASICS insoles (which I guess had been switched out for the original Saucony insoles by the previous owner of these shoes?). Very surprised and disappointed, so I am returning these for a refund.
I'll start by saying that I am the queen of returns when it comes to shoes...very picky. I have difficulty finding sneakers that fit well. My feet are on the narrow side and I wear a size 9 in closed shoes, 8.5 in open shoes. Finding a sneaker that supports my arches is usually rare. When I slipped these on I was skeptical, they felt a little snug. However, after just walking around the house in them, I realized my feet felt more like they were being hugged. Next test was jogging in them. It was like jogging on pillows! I could not feel the impact against the ground. More importantly, my feet did not feel sore or tired after my jog. These might very well be the most comfortable sneakers I've had a very long time. I'd highly recommend them.
These are excellent shoes, I’ve had a few pairs. They hold up well to partial daily use walking and hiking for a few years and maintain waterproof feature very well. The temperature is fine for me year round. The waterproof feature and fit is why I keep going back to these. Excellent toe box size and shape. Nice and stable. Firm bottom but not hard like those that have a rock plate.Found best fit is to order 1 whole size up from normal size.Wish they would offer them in more colors like they do the regular (non gtx) versions please!! Nobody really wants one color choice for shoes that doesn’t change every year, especially as these are everyday shoes for me. Gray and purple or raspberry would be good. White and purple or raspberry would be nice too. Anything really in addition to the colors they come in. Also if you could make a cute version that is the same as the bones and good features of this shoe but a non tennis shoe style or stylish style I’d love that. And a mid top hiking boot of these would get try that style too.Oh and I’d like if they came with the stretchy elastic no tie shoe laces that are out there nowadays.
Love that these are waterproof and very comfortable, as I will bring them to Ireland with me.
My wife feet and high arches are very comfortable in Saucony
These are very average sneakers. I bought them for the waterproof quality and wore them once in the rain. My toes were wet. Also they are not especially comfortable and take some breaking-in.
