beautiful shoes and very comfortable
Used these shoes mostly for long walks and they are very comfortable.
True to size, comfortable and these support your balance and step.
I normally wear a 9.5, but these feel a little small in the toe box. They are firm and supportive; I overpronate when running, so based on the reviews, they sounded like a great option. I am frugal and don't pay over $90 on shoes ever, but I'm beginning to think I need to suck it up and go to a running store to get fitted properly. The soles on these are much better than my previous pair, the Kinvara. I love the Concord color. I have only really walked in them, with a couple of short running sprints, for less than 20 miles so far. They feel better when I run in them than they do for just walking. For walking, they almost feel a little TOO stiff, although the arch support is great. The heels and sides fit comfortably and don't seem to rub weird like some other Saucony have in the past. The laces are a different more mesh fabric, but they stay tied well.I will try to remember to update after I've run in them more, but for now I give them 3.5 to 4 stars because I'm not sure if my feet like them as much as I had hoped they would. I bought them for running, but I have not been getting the miles in, so time will tell.
Three years ago, I bought a Saucony Guide 14 at a local shoe store and immediately loved it. When it was time for a new pair, I bought the latest Guide 15 and hated it. Since then, I’ve tried other brands, but nothing measures up to Guide 14. I wear a women’s 10.5 wide because bunion. I was excited to find men’s size 9 on Amazon, which is equivalent to my size. These are as wonderful as my originals! Supportive for my flat feet, but cushioning on the footbed. Large toe box, but my foot does not slide around. Great laces! I’m sad Saucony changed this shoe design so much!
I have worn Saucony shoes for twenty years, but the Guide 13's I bought in 2021 were a disappointment. They were fine except that they started to tear at the collar after a few runs and they really looked crappy. But I decided to give the Guide 14's a chance, and these have been great. I've got over 200 miles on each of the two pairs I own, and they're holding up just fine. I think they do provide some extra support without feeling stiff. Very comfortable shoes and they don't feel clunky at all.I read the review talking about resisting the temptation to replace the laces. Before the I received these shoes, I wondered what they were talking about. I must have missed the memo about these new stretchy laces. I'd never had anything like them before, and I wondered what was up the first time I tied these laces up. But I really like the laces. No need to double knot them when you tie your shoes, and they never come untied. Pretty neat.Once again, I ordered a half-size larger than I would with any other brand of shoe. For whatever reason, Saucony shoes seem to run a bit small. But going with a half-size larger seems to work for me.
I bought this shoe because my smart watch (also my leg pain & shoe sole wear pattern) made me aware that I was beginning to pronate a lot on one foot while I ran, making my stride asymmetric. This caused some mild tendonitis, and I made the decision to pull the trigger on these shoes. Let me be clear...THESE SHOES ARE INTENSEThere is a hard piece of TPC plastic for medial arch support and it WILL feel uncomfortable at first on the foot/feet that have issues. This plastic support is intense. It drives right into your arch and doesn't budge. I was genuinely concerned that my ankle would sprain while I ran, but I trusted the shoes and it felt like learning proper stride all over again. Within 2 weeks my stride is back to being perfectly symmetrical, my pronation is gone, and the shoes feel 100% comfortable. Trust me when I say this, the shoes being uncomfortable is probably a sign that you need them lol.
Upon arrival I found that my shoes color was a slightly different share than I was expecting. They are just too yellowish. Good for running in the evenings so cars can see the bright colors on the shoes, but hard to match with other clothing.
